Just needing to switch weapon to revive is fucking retarded lazy design. It's like a mod that, because the creators don't have the full engine, they need to invent ways to do stuff like adding context buttons. But it's a fully priced game.
They're just returning to their roots with Demon's Souls where you needed to switch weapons to get out of stunlocks.

It's very obvious FROMSOFTWARE is officially going the way of EA/UBISOFT it's sad we will probably never get another masterpiece like Bloodborne or Sekiro ever again. The ride was fun while it lasted but everything good eventually ends. Goodbye forever the FROMSOFTWARE I use you to know.
Look so long as they give me a decent Bloodborne PC port/remake/whatever I don't really care what slop they shit out for the rest of their future product

I would have no issues with Nightreign if it was priced at around 4.99, or even 9.99. They clearly didn't spend nearly as much money on it as even Shadow of the Erdtree, so I reckon they would still make a profit out of it. And it makes it more accessible for casual players who want to hop on and play with friends, so it would help a lot with sale numbers. 39.99 for their own proprietary asset flip is absolutely ridiculous, and the fact that it won't even have a feature as basic as crossplay, that's on every other modern multiplayer game, shows just how behind the times From really is.

It should be free to play with micro transactions.

$40 for an incredibly low effort asset flip is nuts.

A Fromsoft game having Genshin impact gimmicks and Fortnite mechanics is the last thing I ever wanted to hear.

It doesn't matter if the old guard of the company stayed or left, they're suffering from complacency syndrome due to getting glazed to the high heavens. They can release anything because they're Fromsoft and people will eat it up, thats how it works after Elden Ring became a breakthrough hit and anything flawed mechanically gets brushed off with "just git gud". That's how we have directors saying they just slapped DS3 bosses in the world because they "look cool". If lorefags end up on suicide watch because of this fucking LOL, though they'll probably make autistic theories about how it is all connected.
None of this matters. I think the game will bomb especially knowing From's shitty netcode and lack of crossplay. It'll be one of those very sour "experiments" and the DLC will be shitcanned if the game dies within a month (it will if it only has one map and an unsatisfying loop compared to better and cheaper roguelikes).

Funny how people are celebrating literal asset flips from a different series for 40 dollars. At least with most of their asset flips they had the decency to make new models and a few new attacks to mask the fact they're using the same fucking animations from 2011 (Scadutree Avatar is Asylum Demon). The Centipede Demon doesn't belong in Elden Ring. If they covered it with grass or changed its model to fit the design of ER better I wouldn't have a problem. But this boss even if people bashed it, belonged to Dark Souls and only Dark Souls. This type of import shit is what Convergence type modders will do. 1000346580.png
Imagine if ICO, a huge inspiration to Soulslikes, had so many bossfights between levels. Okay, now imagine Shadow Of The Colossus but restricted to Elden Ring movement. Would that game be as beloved? The atmosphere and art direction betray the weak gameplay system.

The whole Miquella/Radahn gay couple thing or whatever it was was so fucking stupid it's did the impossible and got me, who has every mainline Souls game except for the original PS3 Demon's Souls, to hate Fromsoft.

The part that keeps me awake at night is I think it might've been someone at Fromsoft signing off on that instead of GRR Martin like I'd normally expect.

All I know about Nightreign is this: It might be fun, but there's no fucking way that it's 40$ worth of fun.

ds2chads literally cannot stop winning

I thought the gay incest imagery for Lothric and Lorian was accidental
I didn't see it as gay...but now I'm not so sure. Miyazaki has obviously a thing for men that look like effeminate, long haired faggots who are either gay or asexual. Miquella is a raging faggot, Lothric clings to his brother and Gwyndolyn seems asexual and if he isn't he is a faggot too.

From Fromsoft to Fagsoft.

That's literally the first boss in the second DS3 DLC.
Yeah, but you normally don't start that DLC until after you've played a decent chunk of the original game. Imagine fighting something like that in place of the cursed tree, for example, or the beast knight you fight before him on the way out of Lothric Castle.
