it gets good after the 4 business days it takes to actually start the song
can't beat the swedes at edm
speaking of swedes I don't think there's a specific avicii thread, a bit off topic but I always found it odd that no one ever talks about how he died, he slit his wrists with a piece of glass from a window he smashed in muscat (my autistic theory is he did it in oman, the police there said was no drugs in his system but why kill yourself very painfully when you're rich and can just say buy pills that make you feel good and od? The way he did it sounds like something someone would do fucked up on coke, I think there was drugs in his system but oman doesn't want people to know you can get drugs in the country so they lied to save face, that or he was just fucking crazy)
Not sure if this fits here, but I love this first song off Seven Lions' latest album. Probably one of the best things I've heard in a while (not saying much).
Banger! This is one of those iconic older tracks that I've really come to appreciate more and more in the last couple years. The ones where, in a sea of shitty remakes/covers/updates/edits, the original still holds up and stands head and shoulders above them all.
Wonderful dark synths and beats from Magic Sword themed around... Runescape? 何?. Highly recommend them in general but also for fans of Tangerine Dream but said, hey could someone add some more darksynths into these tracks for me and make them rule?
I’m continuing my regression into 2010’s EDM. Phonat unfortunately only a few more songs I liked from the same album as Ghetto Burnin (I have to stop listening to that song, I’ve already ruined it for myself)
I also discovered I actually prefer the songs I always used to skip in my old playlists. This song I completely disregarded just for containing the word ’trend’. Yes, I was a hipster. Shit fucking slaps.
I find most knife party songs aged poorly, but I still listen a lot to Give it up. The most disappointing thing about looking up the lyrics is that it’s not ”someone had told me why your dick can’t get on up” (but they censor the word dick for modesty reasons, naturally). I refuse to believe this is English.
I hope that College has already been covered in this tread. I especially like this "cover" by Anoraak. The de-tuned synth sound at the beginning is perfect.
