Eliezer Schlomo Yudkowsky / LessWrong

Destiny's wrong in this, the case reports where claims of hydrocephalus and normal intelligence are combined in the same person originate are really sketchy. Many don't even feature full hydrocephalus (i.e. due to measurement errors or "mistakes"), and in the ones that do claims of "normal" intelligence don't appear to be deeply investigated or well substantiated. You do actually need your brain to be smart.

It is insanely more difficult to follow Yud's meandering sentence structures when he's actually talking out loud instead of just writing.
He really needs to stick to writing or alternatively pre-written scripts at the bare minimum. On an entirely unrelated note, because I doubt the subtitles got it, Eliezer Yudkowsky says the word "isekai" at 24 minutes and 48 seconds if someone wants to clip that.

I'd welcome our robot overlords if only to save us from these two blundering bipeds.

Yuddo the Clown's blithering idiocy has only convinced me we need to put the pedal to the metal in the race toward AI utopia. I would gladly sacrifice this fat freak to Moloch Roko's Basilisk to usher in the new Golden Age.

The only way this sententious faggot could be any less wrong is if he just shut the fuck up. Permanently.

It's kinda funny that the first people to die to A.I will be the rich entitled soy filled cunts at major cities who will lose their jobs or their rights, meanwhile some Amish in Ohio will not realize the sudden lack of redditors talking about how he's a nazi for being a devout family man and farmer.
No Amish ever called me chud.

How does schlomo reconcile his fear of death and the fact that he wishes he could isekai? I mean, thems the rules. No Isekai without YOU DIED
I think that's a definitional argument. Especially some western "isekai" (or going to a fantasy world generally unintentionally) don't start with the MC dying. for example The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (Narnia series), or the "Beyonders" series. Both are for children though, and it's possible they don't want to try to explain continuity of consciousness through the various philosophical and religious viewpoints that would be required.

I don't feel like watching DesTINY anymore than I need to, what was the context for the "Isekai" quote?
He was presenting arguments for babies not being conscious and Destiny's even worse arguments somehow got him onto the topic of causal arrows, and how you would not be able to get any information about a world where causal arrows only entered but never left, and then he leaned toward the camera and said "isekai" is a stage whisper. He followed up a bit on it later, but I think he's advised on a couple fan fiction and pseudo-isekai projects, and has given general advise for people writing fiction, so I assume that's where he got it from.
