Yes, I find the whole "virgin mocking" thing to be really ridiculous. Specially on this forum. We have plenty of people that haven't scored and nobody gives a damn really. People care more about what kind of person you are, not if you've managed to score.

If anything Elliot's case could do is to teach people to not obsess about something as ridiculous as virginity.

Being a virgin sucks if you obsess over it. And the more you obsess over it the more you are mentally hindering your own chances at success. Nobody likes obsessive creeps.

Sure you can be bummed out over it. Fine, be bummed out. But it's ultimately exactly the same attitude a spoiled whiny brat in the toy store has when he wishes to get a certain toy and his mom won't let him. The more he sulks and cries and acts like a little bitch, the less likely he is to get the coveted fire truck.

I was once reading a thread about girlfriends on one forum and god, those people were so unhappy. You could read things like: doesn't want to have sex, is a whore who wants too much sex, cheats with other guys, is boring, no interests, saggy tits, fat, ugly, depression, borderline, smelly pussy, materialist, have to drive her everywhere in car, does not shave armpits etc. Literally 200 posts of flaws.
But they still won't leave those girls because it's good to be able to say "I have a gf" and have sex sometimes

Because it would revel I have negative social value. A man rejected by women is less attractive to other women. Also , the group therapy is the only social outlet I got , if I asked girls here I would be forever labeled as a creep and I'll never get friends again.

I also realize i'm a -10/10 man and it's logical I have a -10/10 girlfriend.
