I got into contact with one when I was playing Pretend You're Xyzzy. She was kin with a Ace Attorney character and it took all of ~20 hours before she got a panic attack because she thought I was a pedophile (without any warning whatsoever) because I mentioned that some of my hair was grey. The irony of it was that she was older than me.

I've stopped going to my college's lgbt club because of their tumblr induced hypocracy. Despite it's facebook description of "public outreach and education" they refuse to work alongside the neighboring private university's club -- that is forced to exist entirely underground because of the university's regulations regarding tran.s and same sex couples on campus -- because the university is a Christian school.
So basically university student couples are limited to only holding hands in campus while these assholes play Mario Kart during meetings.

My school has a GSA (gay-straight alliance) and they were taking a survey one time on gender and sexuality. I was told it would be anonymous. First the president tried to get me to do a verbal interview, in the cafeteria where there are many people. I said no, and finally got her to let me just write down my answers and give them to her. Immediately after, she tried to look at my paper and I asked her how the survey was anonymous if she was just going to look at what I wrote (knowing I wrote it), and took the paper back. I was told she cried afterward.

Well dealing with actual gays and trannies means they can't pretend they have problems. And fixing problems takes time out of being a layabout.
Now that's just plain retarded and she should feel bad. Seriously, I guess she thinks that since she's the president that she's basically able to do whatever she wants. Probably wanted to know so she could feel superior/judge the other members. And the best part is I reckon that most of them caved due to being related to such lovely things like jellies.

I had a bit of a scuffle over the DASA changes this year.
Until this year, at least.
See, DASA covers everything from disabilities to economic standing and does so out of necessity. Unfortunately, this year they added a fucking host of genders to the list - including a barrage of ones you will never find in any legitimate textbook. The implication for this is fucking terrifying. I was trying to communicate to the coordinator this one fact:
"For the love of god, and all that's holy, insist on medical diagnosis for Dysphoria for this particular requirement, or you are going to open the floodgates for DASA being turned into a bigger subject of abuse than the no law whatsoever we had proceeding it."
I got called into the office over it, and was worried I was in trouble. As it turned out, the coordinator for it was actually pretty understanding about it and had explained that what I was warning about had, indeed, already happened, and that the subject had already come up. The district was now demanding medical diagnosis (in this district at least), and I was thanked for my contributions, though told that if I had any additional information to give, to send it to the district superintendent.
I want to know who the hell thought adding that to DASA was a good idea, however, so I can publicly shame their ass.
For the uninitiated, DASA, the Dignity for All Students Act, is a law that codified bullying in New York State and was specifically intended to stop the schools' longstanding tradition of ignoring bullying problems until they swam up and bit the districts in the ass. What led to DASA was a barrage of suicides (Sic Semper, New York), and what finally resulted was a law that states that if you see something that constitutes bullying - and what does is rigorously covered - you are legally required to report it or could face repercussions.

This. They're very much a group of slacktivists sans one so naturally she's rarely there for meetings.
I think the fact that the uni students are both "privilaged" and "underprivilaged" in their eyes must be some fucking conundrum to them and their black and white tumblr morality.
Plus they probably feel one-upped as far as that sweet sweet representation goes, if someone did take a stand they for sure aren't gonna get that attention so fuck those uni students and their evil religion.
So for now the most action I see from them is harassing students with planned parenthood condoms.

So my "genderfluid" friend was talking about the upcoming Pride Parade and how she requested the day off from work and how she'll probably get priority because she's "actually LGBT." I was so tempted to tell her that she actually isn't and is really just some cis straight girl who just happens to be bored with herself.
I'm not apart of the LGBT community but if I was, I would be pretty annoyed to share my struggles and hardships with genderspecials like her.

So I've been at an anime con this whole weekend, and while I was in to get my ticket w/ my group we started to this couple(?) behind us. The guy was rocking the in-season "beta cuck" look, and had blue hair. The girl mentioned in the line that she was "aromantic" and then yesterday I saw them again at my friend's booth and the beta cuck mentioned "gender was an illusion to him."
More currently, (by which I mean right now) there's a group of girls and some guy sitting near me and I overheard one of them talk about "mansplaining" in "geek industries"
I've seen/heard other tumblr-y people but those are the most notable stories for now.

Not quite dramatic enough for the personal lolcows thread (yet?). A friend of mine's bandmate recently came out as some flavor of genderqueer. He's a divorcé in his fifties and had a recent death in the family. Up until today I was begrudgingly giving him the benefit of a doubt, but this morning I found out his ridiculous tweenage "girl name." God damn it.

John regularly has the PC Police commenting on his stuff. I feel quite sorry for him - it's clear he's rather confused by this new brand of social justice. Still manages to be hilarious in his responses though.
