Jesus, you pre-order H3 on EGS you get H1's pass for free, but not H2's. Plus there's no preload for H3 and I think that's an EGS limitation, but I have little experience with it so I can't say for certain whose fuck up this is.IOI announced how the progress transfer from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 will work. The big caveat about this is that for EGS users on PC, transferring your Hitman 2 progress to Hitman 3 will NOT provide the H2 content for use in H3, as you will have to buy the H2 content seperately on EGS. They're offering an 80% "discount" on the H2 pass for the first week of the game's release, but it's still a fucking joke that PC users have to effectively by H2 again, on another platform, just to use the said content in H3. Console users at least don't get shafted this time, as users on XBOX and PS don't have to buy H2 again to use the H2 content in H3.
And that would also explain why IOI waited until the very last moment to announce how the content transfer would work, because they knew that the decision would piss a lot of people off.
Honestly, who does this appeal to? If you LOVE Hitman, you're already going to have beaten 1 and 2. Then they have you buy it again? Fucking lol. This is just so retarded. Do these games sell any fucking copies on this trash store?Jesus, you pre-order H3 on EGS you get H1's pass for free, but not H2's. I'm leaning on IOI, to be honest. EGS gave H1 for free and let them attach H1's pass, H2 isn't on EGS so they really can't force shit on that front that I can see, especially with such a massive discount. It still doesn't matter that it's a bullshit move, though. I'm not sure how the carryover works if it's done through a browser and why they can't just do that to give you the pass for free on EGS. I genuinely don't know who is being a prick and what's being hindered by EGS.
I would just pirate it. It only becomes a problem when it's a multiplayer game and for that reason I hope to god they don't grab the upcoming Evil Dead game.I'll just do what I did with Hitman 2 and wait until someone gifts it to me, I did the math and if I were to preorder + buy hitman 2 again on EGS I would spend my local equivalent to 100 dollars.
It's a shame that EGS pays enough money for their exclusives to break even and an even bigger shame they haven't run out of money to continue doing so yet, I was actually looking forwards to this game.
Yep. Zombie Army 4 died on PC because of that shitty exclusivity deal. It's going to be interesting to see if people will buy the game in March. Rebellion really shat the bed by refusing to add crossplay. It only becomes a problem when it's a multiplayer game
I'm hoping, as a long time Evil Dead fan, that the devs recognize that the game has enough of a built in audience that they don't need to suck Sweeny's dick. But these are the same guys behind the World War Z game that Epic snatched up. So it's a coin toss. Hopefully, maybe, they learned from the bad press and low player numbers from making World War Z an Epic exclusive?Yep. Zombie Army 4 died on PC because of that shitty exclusivity deal. pirating hitman would mean not being able to do the challenges which are the best part of the game and also unlock items to use. you'd have to use someone else's save to get the unlocks, but wheres the fun in thatI would just pirate it. What happened with Control? I played the game once (thanks for buying it for me Mr. Sweeny!) and thought it was interesting but not really groundbreaking since it looked like it was just a raytracing techdemo pretending to be a game, but I did like the story and overall premise and background stuff actually so I'm curious what happened to it all.I wonder if IOI will pull the same scam that Remedy did with the save files of Control once Hitman 3 is released on the non-EGS platforms next year.
This makes me feel like he sees some need for momentum here. Like, he feels that Apple isn't engaging with him enough, and if he doesn't keep the focus on this, people will pivot back to shitting on the EGS.Well the U.S. case didn't work.![]()
Epic Widens Fortnite Dispute With Apple, Google in U.K.
Epic Games Inc. widened its dispute with Apple Inc. over access to its popular Fortnite video game as it submitted a complaint to the U.K.’s antitrust tribunal.www.bloomberg.com
The Australia case didn't work either.
Third time's the charm, I guess, 'ey Timmy?
Trouble with that is, he played all his cards early, so Apple's got no reason to want to engage with him. This makes me feel like he sees some need for momentum here. He's probably right.
Once the one-year exclusivity deal with Epic Games ended, they released a definitive version for Steam, GOG, etc, but it came with a catch: you couldn't import the saves from the EGS version. What happened with Control? lol, nobody is going to buy this game, except for suckers on the EGS who play test it for the rest of the PC community when they release a GOTY edition next year.In response to IOI's disastrous announcement of H3's carryover, Mr. Timmy puts out a damage control statement, saying that "it will be looked into." Okay, but it doesn't mean much until you do something to rectify the problem. Not to mention that it comes out as Mr. Timmy trying to shift the blame off of EGS, regardless of who is actually at fault for this fiasco.
