That's not true. They've made like five good games last decade.
Yea I phrased that poorly let me start over. Ubisoft has made plenty of serviceable games but nothing so amazing that I would put up with EGS nonsense to play.

Don't you wanna play the new generic open world/shooter/buggy piece of shit game?Yea I phrased that poorly let me start over. Ubisoft has made plenty of serviceable games but nothing so amazing that I would put up with EGS nonsense to play.
They both hand out your passwords to slavs/the chinese and have competitive shooter games.Which is a bigger evil: EGS or Uplay?

Ubisoft calls Steam's business model "Unrealistic", and claims it doesn't reflect the world we live in today, due to the revenue share. Will continue to do business with Epic for exclusives.
Because Discord isn't paying them a big chunk of money for a semi-elusive IN ADDITION to a better cut. Ubisoft is unironically saying that Valve should pay them for the honor of selling their game like EGS does.An hey, if you guys care so much about revenue why aren't I finding your games on Discords store, hmmmm?

Have to disagree with this for the sole reason that For Honor is fantastic. Other than that though... well, i guess they did Rayman too, and then forgot about it completely.Ubisoft hasn't made a good game in nearly a decade so I think I'll be fine.
Just wait until some abusive shit like GameGuard realizes they have a stranglehold on companies in Asia, so why not start their own platform... That, or good old Securom doing the very same.Over the years new DRMs pop up, all trying to compete against steam.
I don't think it will. Epic is practically hemorrhaging cash to get limited exclusives on their site. We haven't seen actual sales numbers, but I doubt they are taking a significant amount of the marketshare. Fortnite is their only money maker and unless they can pull something amazing off, I think that game has peaked in terms of users. It's the year 2029, you got several different VR and regular games you want to play. Over the years new DRMs pop up, all trying to compete against steam. Now you got several gaming studios making different deals with different DRM providers to be exclusives. You now have 22 different DRMs on your computer to play games now.
I hope it won't get that bad.

thats sounds like a death rattle to me, are they just giving up on it?So, apparently Epic said how they arent gonna be making any annoucements about further or future updates to their store.
I saw an article about it, they said it's because they fuck up deadlines and can't deliver new features in timethats sounds like a death rattle to me, are they just giving up on it?

The irony of EGS trying to copy Valve's work strategy to spitefuck them, without anyone there realizing that Valve Time exists for a reason, is absolutely glorious.I saw an article about it, they said it's because they fuck up deadlines and can't deliver new features in time
I still hate how Epic Games bought Easy Anti-Cheat, essentially breaking a lot of games on Linux (both Epic-created and non Epic-created).
Fuck Sweeney and his hostility towards Linux.
That was actually a direct spite-fuck to Valve, since Valve was working with them on Linux games. It'll probably be quietly regulated to the dustbin.
