Escape from Tarkov - something something insert Russian memes here

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I wouldn't consider that cheating but I also wouldn't go around telling people you do that.
Tarkov players are the fucking worst and will 100% report you for something like that. Even if the report is meaningless, people will still shit on you for something as simple as a crosshairs.
I have noticed a lot of bitching about every topic surrounding this game in comments. I mostly ignore them because I don't want to let cynical thoughts like that keep me from enjoying the game, and I'm sure they'll seep in naturally anyway. I don't think there's any way they can detect monitor crosshairs anyway because no PC resources are being used to apply it, it's just from the monitor.

Yea you should be fine as long as you keep quiet about it.
The Tarkov community is by far and away the most toxic group of autistic retards I've ever seen. You chose a good time to start playing though, not a lot players left from the beginning of the wipe.
Use this time before the next wipe to learn as much as you can. A good way of making money is to pick your favorite map and learn it in and out. For me it was Customs. I learned all the stash locations and just farmed it for roubles. You can make a lot of money in this game just looting and avoiding fights. Sometimes the fights are unavoidable, but I recommend just running away until you get a better handle on the game and get a higher level PMC.

I finally got SPTarkov working properly and I have to say that all my main complaints about Tarkov are entirely dispelled by virtue of not having to deal with the troglodyte slavaboos that make up most of the fanbase. No Twitch streamers either, which is really nice.

Load times on my SATA SSD are also much improved, which says to me that the games network infrastructure is probably interesting from a backend perspective and that some of the loading times is just the client and server talking to each other.

I kind of miss going into raids with buddies, but considering that I already am very active in an Arma unit and a squadron in Elite, being able to play Tarkov at my own pace is much more appealing than the almost MMO tier grind in the live game.

Hey has the hacking and botting in this game actually improved

Meanwhile this SP thing sounds pretty neat

Im having the same issue with this game in a similar vain with both WoT and Splitgate: Unresponsive Devs and the """Beta""". Battlestate Games seem to have not learned from Contract Wars' demise and they've been in beta for how many years while charging an absurd pricetag on top of it. I can't even play SPT with a pirated copy so fuck that. Oh and no Steam connection so I have to rely on their shitty launcher.

Contract Wars' demise
What had happened to it, what was there to learn from that?

Developers are also masters of promising everything but delivering nothing; just take a look how many "planned" weapons there are, and consider how long it takes to do weapons for them - the scope is ridiculously huge and it indeed does remind of Chronicles of Elyria or Star Citizen. Not to mention shitty false-advertising in a way they had put the price tag WITHOUT tax, so once you are at the checkout you'll be greeted with additional tax lumped on top of it, especially if you are eurocuck. I don't know if this had been mentioned, the game had been in BETA for so long and it irked me since forever, I might be going senile.

Also, it never been a secret that community is rabid; try and suggest implementing some QoL feature or catering a little bit more to the casual side (i.e. get rid of retarded requirements for some of the mods, like why there are mods for starter weapons behind tier 3/4 traders?) and observe how they'll continue to screech and dog pile, with paid-off streamers getting free shit from developers. God forbid Tarkov is anything less but 'hardcore gamer FPS' that requires your attention input equal to a full-time job.

Had they done anything to curb the RAM usage/leaks, or does it still load the entire game onto RAM and expects the Player to not crash mid-raid?

I might be a bad example but I haven't had RAM issues since doubling up to 32GB. However, I do mostly play SPTarkov so my usage of system resources is different from a player on the live servers.

Well, shit. There went any enthusiasm I might have had for this game. Sure as hell not forking out any money for the devs given both the game's state and their attitudes.

Config freaks has a Pirated version of Tarkov thats single player , its separate from SPT but its the same general idea and its at the same level development wise

This game popped back up on my radar and I'm seriously considering buying. Someone who's played it adjust my expectations: is this a game where the difficulty is part of the appeal, or just something you have to work around? Also, how often will you run into hackers?

The difficulty is part of the appeal. Tarkov is an easy game to start with nothing and end up with even less if it goes poorly for you. If you die, there's a good chance you'll never see the gear you were wearing again.

Hackers can be hit and miss. The game comes with Easy Anti Cheat, so it's not perfect or even ideal.

Also, be warned the game will eat up your system with a lot of bloat.

It is my understanding that JustEmuTarkov has all of the things you need to play including game files.
