Regarding the 4/8chan stuff, Alex is stupid for even going there in the first place, that's literally the worst place in the world to go if you want people to praise you and he can't handle any kind of criticism so i'm surprised he lasted this long. Nice to see him get assblasted like this

People are taking his side, in the sense that "YandereDev likes reddit and will stop going to 4chan! What a great dev!" but IMO this is going to bite him in the ass later. Now people think he "changed" and he can't go back there.

Alex is stuck between a rock and a hard place, he wants to get praise from both the 8channers and the redditors/"sjws" but he can't please both at the same time. It's just a matter of time until he suggests a new suggestion, that is even more offensive/retarded than his beatemup/skirt inventory, and when it happens, people won't like it and he will have nowhere to run. He can't go to 8chan and ask for asspats after his new idea gets rejected anymore.

I expect him to not control his frustation and an epic chimpout to happen.

How is he honestly surprised that of all the communities he visits about his game, the 8chan threads are the most critical and rude? This is the biggest show of his ego so far. The crudeness of chan culture is its badge of pride, and he expected an exemption because he is just such a special little boy. And he cries to the big kids about how cool he is: "H-hey, I heard you guys hate SJWs right? W-w-well...my friends and I laugh at SJWs for like, at LEAST an hour everyday!" He tries to amp his cred by declaring his own work to be "the most anti-SJW game in existence". It's like a man bragging about his how much he can lift, but infinitely more pathetic.

It's also very interesting how he previously tried to humble himself as being the true expendable resource for relying so heavily on volunteers' help, but once 8chan's a little too mean for him he's suddenly a hot commodity to lose. Having a game developer (especially of his quality) is such a rare opportunity in his eyes, but really he's a dime a dozen. And being a slave to the users of a controversial site is not exactly an honor he should be flaunting...

Well...I hope this means Dev'll be nicer to the "normalfags" and tweens. They're the real audience now. I know tweens can be annoying with their emails, but they'll be the ones buying the game, so try and cherish them. Hopefully he can move forward from this, and things will change for the better.

The funniest thing about his game vis-a-vis being "anti-SJW" is that it's really not. Mainly in that there's no rape, but as several people have brought up earlier in this thread, that's an eerily likely mechanic to at least cross Alex's mind at some point. *shudder* Although, rape is something universally despised.

It's implied that Yandere-chan's mother raped her Senpai (Yan-chan's father), but the r-word itself isn't actually used - presumably because (even given his past writing), Eva isn't sure how to integrate that into his game. Good. The less rape in any media the better.

As I mentioned before, it's confusing that he claims such vehement hatred of SJWs and yet the majority of his fanbase seems to be teenage girls who likely use tumblr etc. That, and given what I've read about how his brain seems to work, he probably thinks "SJWs" are people who believe in things like bodily autonomy for women and equal rights for queer people. No, Alex, that's called "common sense."

I assume he has different ideas of the "anti-SJW" content supposedly present in his game.

Let's examine his claims.

• all but one character have the same skin tone - white - although contextually, they're Japanese. Only Musume Ronshaku differs (she's got a deep, borderline-cancerous tan) - I hope he doesn't think it's "edgy" to have zero black characters, since if the game really is set in Japan, the word is "realistic."*
• pretty sure there are only two (maybe three) voice actresses, all of whom sound rather similar** - that doesn't indicate a deliberate lack of diversity, just a well-deserved lack of willing volunteers. Can't blame self-respecting female artists for hesitating to work with this clown.
• if you max your "seduction" via the debug menu, boys will emanate hearts when speaking to them. Girls used to as well, but now don't. For someone who ostensibly gets off to yuri, removing that little feature for female students is a bit odd - but just because there's no obvious lesbian traits in any of the characters doesn't mean he's "anti-SJW," just that he's boring. Or maybe it is/was a bug. XD
• implication that a girl is/was selling her bras/underwear to male students isn't "anti-SJW," just a stupid old trope that lends itself to an unrealistic and rather offensive caricature of Japan. although Alex probably believes there are actually vending machines for used panties on Tokyo street corners
• taking panty shots isn't and shouldn't be "triggering," although admittedly it is a crime. All games about committing crimes have one thing in common - they are games. Fantasy. Fiction. Fake. Lots of SJWs play GTA V, and Eva thinks he's pushing the envelope how...?
• killing people isn't "triggering." Pretty sure it's a crime as well, but seems to be present in many video games - call me crazy.
• driving a student to suicide is an unsettling game mechanic, to be honest, but it's only implied - and not even verbally! What actually happens is they simply don't show up to school the next day.
• people who are genuinely upset by bullying because of their own past traumatic personal experiences won't play this game in the first place.***

* I know Durarara! (set in Ikebukuro section of Tokyo) has a black character who speaks Japanese (and is actually Russian). Durarara! also has a plot and many many storylines and I doubt Alex/Eva has ever heard of it because it's probably too intellectual. Yes I like this particular anime. Yes I know all the YanSim characters look the same because they use like three different models max, with different hairstyles.
** Original Skyrim release apparently utilised only five voice actors. At least they changed up their accents for different characters.
*** I have PTSD from some past abusive relationships and I HATE the whole "trigger-warning" BS. Yandere Simulator isn't "anti-SJW," isn't "edgy," isn't "politically incorrect." If anything, it's "anti-edgy" and just plain "incorrect."

Armchair psychoanalyzing here, but I think it may be because he spent all his time on the #chans while he was a teen being homeschooled. Reading the OP and some of his "Nice guy" pity rants leads me to believe he sought social interaction and a feeling of belonging in places like 4chan. He probably felt that places like /v/ were his home, and that the anons there were all like one big, faceless yet united "brotherhood" as a result of video games/game culture. It was the glue that held the place (and his mind) together during those years; finally a place and people that shared his interests and could understand him. Or so he thought.

Getting basically cast out of 4/8chan like Adam from Eden must've been a super big deal to him. Considering all this, he's definitely not far from an even bigger chimpout.

Game 1 was a fighting game featuring Unity assets and his fetishes with no animu.
Game 2 was also a fighting game featuring Unity assets and his fetishes with animu mixed in. (Like in the main's design.)
Game 3 is a "stealth" game with fighting elements featuring Unity assets and his fetishes in addition to a ton of animu.

Game 4 will probably be some kind of JRPG-type thing featuring Unity assets and his fetishes. He does like his overly ambitious projects.

I know very little about patents, trademark, and copyright law, and this is probably gonna sound unbearably retarded to anyone who does, but if Eva establishes Yandere Simulator as an IP and sold the rights to someone who could put the game in the hands of a competent developer, would you be interested in it?

I've never really been averse to weeb shit, but something about the aesthetic of Yandere Simulator has kept me away from it. It just looks really bland, and I imagine professional game designers could think up a far more interesting art style. I'm no graphics whore, but I'd probably check it out if that were the case.
