Here's a question for previous fans of Yandere Sim-- what was it that first put you off the game?
Possible powerleveling, but personally it was the pandering, condescending posts directed at those disagreeing with the panty inventory.
For me it was when he kept delaying the may 15th update, promised a lot of features and it was just dissapointing in the end.

His whining about emails mostly and the Undertale obsession, and upoin finding this thread his creepy + nasty attitude

Got to be his email obsession and his general perviness/dumbarsery regarding Easter Eggs.

I've never been a huge fan of YS but I followed the progress and watched video and I also went on his streaming of Dark souls I thought he was a funny guy and then I stumble upon a video showing a stream where you can see his face (dang I thought he was the ugliest dude I've ever seen in my life) and his other username Evaxephon, then just one google search and I've found tons and tons of things about his identity and then this thread that was around 30 pages, look how far we've come !

I'm glad that just like me, other have realized how much of a jerk he really is, now I just can't wait to see the entire fanbase crumble down. :heart-full::heart-full:

Lots of little stuff, but mostly 2
big things
1)HIS FUCKING LAYOUT ! I don't know much about programming, though my parents do, and even I cringe looking at how he planned game out, which guarantees the finished game will suck.
2) The pervyness. As someone who was a highschool girl in a uniform with a skirt and panties until a short time ago, it's sickening. I guess I don't mind the ability to look at panties/take pics, but rewarding it is sickening. I bet Eva is the kind of guy who grabs underage highschool girls asses, and catcalls them, which was why our school was super strict about chaging clothes right after school. So thanks, Eva, now 9 year old girls are walking around with the fear of you.

I never was a fan but I did DL the game at some point and see that it was way too early in beta to form any opinions on other then the placeholder shit was sloppily done. Kind of got turned off by his email whining. And then I found this thread!

The permanent bitching about emails did it for me. When you try to look like a professionnal and you keep bawling about the same little inconvenience over and over, that just doesn't cut it.

I've been lurking around this thread for a long time now, [Ever since page one] and I gotta admit this guy has to be the worst developer of history, Even if he was good at programming his whole way of updating is incredibly stupid.

For someone that actually still follows his development, I've seen horrible, I mean, HORRIBLE progress on the game, I mean, Even the ''features'' he implements aren't at least 50% done. How does this guy expect his ''game'' to be at least 45% done when you can't even dismember people correctly?

You must really be bad at this if you can't even make a feature that doesn't bug the fuck out.

I still check out his horrible looking website and blog posts to see any new content, But what really threw me off was his horrible format of updating the game, A.k.a not even adding the full content of one feature, He'd make this new feature, but only be able to kill 1 girl and bug the fuck out with it, And saying things like ''I'll add more things into this certain feature blahblah'' Instead of focusing on the same feature, He keeps adding more and more shit on top of it, making the whole game a shitfest. ''The emails are the problem here!'' :story:

I used to do volunteer work for him, and he just kept making very questionable decisions and so I decided to do some research on the guy and I ended up here. Since then I have bailed the project.

Please tell us more.

How did the team communicate? What was he like to talk to? What sort of decisions? Do you regret volunteering? What did you volunteer to do? Did any of your work make it in?

Could you tell us more about your volunteer work and experience working with Yandere Dev?

I'm not going to go into detail of the work I've done as I would like to keep my anonymity but as of working with Dev compared from what I hear from the other volunteers we got along relatively well.

Whenever I handed in work I usually get a "This is excellent" so in general he is nice to me though he tends to stupid anal about shit that doesn't matter and not anal enough on shit that does matter which is really annoying when I spend 4 hours on a something that is going to be front an center in game and having to spend 3 days on something that only shows up for 2 seconds.

The kind of things that piss me off is when I say things like I can increase the visuals of the game to be more unique and not stupid unity bought assets, the amount of anger and rage I get back from suggesting that is insane. Saying its too iconic to change or it would take a month to implement that. That basically when I said fuck it and left I don't want to work on unity store the game.

Overall I don't think is a complete asshole I just find his decision making is very questionable and not for the best interest of the game. The game showed so much promise when I joined and now.. its just a mess. So if he's going to sink the ship I'm sure as hell not going to sink with it.

Please tell us more.

-The team as a whole didn't communicate every volunteer would just email dev independently. He actually doesn't like the volunteers communicating because he thought it would start drama a volunteers would leave.

-He was actually pleasant to talk to usually pretty nice unless I suggested something that requires him to change something then he gets really upset.

-Decisions like the combat system and the skirt inventory were things I was very upset about.

-Do I regret volunteering? No as shitty as it was it helped rough out my edges and get much faster at my craft.

-I don't want to give away who I am so I wont say exactly what I did for the game.

-About everything I made made it into the game.
