Could you tell us more about your volunteer work and experience working with Yandere Dev?
I'm not going to go into detail of the work I've done as I would like to keep my anonymity but as of working with Dev compared from what I hear from the other volunteers we got along relatively well.
Whenever I handed in work I usually get a "This is excellent" so in general he is nice to me though he tends to stupid anal about shit that doesn't matter and not anal enough on shit that does matter which is really annoying when I spend 4 hours on a something that is going to be front an center in game and having to spend 3 days on something that only shows up for 2 seconds.
The kind of things that piss me off is when I say things like I can increase the visuals of the game to be more unique and not stupid unity bought assets, the amount of anger and rage I get back from suggesting that is insane. Saying its too iconic to change or it would take a month to implement that. That basically when I said fuck it and left I don't want to work on unity store the game.
Overall I don't think is a complete asshole I just find his decision making is very questionable and not for the best interest of the game. The game showed so much promise when I joined and now.. its just a mess. So if he's going to sink the ship I'm sure as hell not going to sink with it.
Please tell us more.
-How did the team communicate? What was he like to talk to? What sort of decisions? Do you regret volunteering? What did you volunteer to do? Did any of your work make it in?
-The team as a whole didn't communicate every volunteer would just email dev independently. He actually doesn't like the volunteers communicating because he thought it would start drama a volunteers would leave.
-He was actually pleasant to talk to usually pretty nice unless I suggested something that requires him to change something then he gets really upset.
-Decisions like the combat system and the skirt inventory were things I was very upset about.
-Do I regret volunteering? No as shitty as it was it helped rough out my edges and get much faster at my craft.
-I don't want to give away who I am so I wont say exactly what I did for the game.
-About everything I made made it into the game.
