I'm pretty sure he doesn't want yaoi because that would make his stupid self-insert on the game (aka senpai-kun) gay. Eva can only tolerates yuri, because he's one more of those weebos that loves lesbians but thinks gays are gross. C'mon, Eva, that's awful of you.
And I even forgot his post about the diferences between yandere-chan and yandere-kun. It's so goddam ridiculous his way of thinking! Why does Yandere-chan have to be the dependent kawaii girl while senpai is a possessive and sadistic fuckyeah sociopath??
How can Eva even expect people (expecially women) play his game with a sexual dimorphysm like that?

That picture he posted is not senpai, it's how Alex envisions how a male protaonist "Yandere-Kun" would look.

If i had to guess, it's likely a mix of Alex's natural sexism with his weebness. He probably saw a few yandere animes like Future Diary and thought Yanderes are just another type of waifu, but he never seen a legit male yandere so he can only assume it would be a "badass" sociopath.

I really hope the whole "sadistic and possessive dude that kills for fun" stereotype isn't one of Alex's power fantasies.

i've seen some people here still talking about yandere kun and how alex hates the idea etc. havent i posted that time Alex talked about it?

Basically: Female yanderes are weak the only reason they live is to get the man. Male yanderes are the strong and possessive who kills rivals for fun.

Well, you just know there'd be a rape feature in that scenario.

I think the sad thing is the given description of Yandere-kun is more like how a yandere in this situation should be anyway. Someone who's simply emotionless like Yandere-chan as she is right now doesn't make a good or interesting character at all, not to mention a hilariously obvious yandere.

If people suddenly started disappearing at school/corpses keep randomly being discovered I'd think they'd pinpoint the loner girl who has literally no friends in an instant. If she acted more like the given social butterflies she'd blend in better. But why make a cunning, interesting yandere that's incredibly smart and intent in her actions when you can make a brash and wild murderer with no need for stealth?

If she didn't have her "superhuman adrenaline strength" then she would need her stealth too, but any time you get caught it clearly doesn't matter because you can just knife a martial arts master in the face if you've taken enough gym classes, or whatever. But that's not the point I started with in this post.

Someone who's obviously rowdy and social and maybe a little charming (if not downright insane) like this given Yandere-kun would be great and kind of hard to suspect. Even though the game has a "reputation" mechanic, it doesn't affect how the player character behaves at all. The other students have no reason to see Yandere-chan as popular if she's a cold, emotionless bitch. But you know, she gives out free food, so everyone loves her.

I like this second personality for both Yandere-chan and -kun. Too bad it doesn't fit his power dynamic of Yandere-chan needing Senpai to live. I have a feeling this is what the SNAP feature is going to be, but a Yandere willing to kill their Senpai out of rage was always more interesting.

edit, didn't want to double post: also, the fact that that said "friend" stated that 'a game where women are more powerful promotes pro-women" is hilarious in hindsight with this post having been made, he's not trying to portray Yandere-chan as more powerful than her Senpai at all, just that she outright needs him to live. Thats totally feminist amirite

I think that what gets me most about this is the fact that "yandere" is essentially a personality type, there's literally no reason for Yandere-chan and Yandere-kun to act differently, as a result.

Seriously, did Alex even think this thr- oh wait. Like the beatemup system and that damn kitten, no, he clearly didn't.

If I wanted to speculate, part of it would be so he could pull a "Well if I implement Yandere-kun he'll have to be a completely different character with completely different interactions, which will push back release by at least 12 months! Fanbase do you want to wait for that?"

Well, we just gave him the excuse to delay January's rival implementation. He'll announce the Yandere-Kun in November/December and say he'll miss January's development goal because of it.

Just watch.

ppffff, he's been postponning matchmarking for over 4 months. And I bet he will dellay this method until the very end of the word.
Let's just remember that he implemented first a "bucket update" before mathmarking. Wowza.
