Alex expects me to believe that Ayano is so edgy/emo that she only eats enough to not die (anorexia?) and literally can't fell the taste of food until after she meets her man. Why does Ayano care about drawing unwanted attenttion from other students again? I thought she was E M O T I O N L E S S ( T M )?

It's like Alex is trying reeeeally hard to make me feel sorry for her, but considering the sexist implications that she can't function without a MAN in her life, Ayano comes of as weak protagonist you don't want to root for.

Ayano is clearly a descendant of the ackermans. When she met "chick magnet for no reason" senpai she formed an Ackerman bond and the rest is history. It also explains her 3edgy5me emotionless personality.

Yeah, I'm late, I know, but there's something that's been bugging me. Why do none of the students ever consider "Nemesis" to be suspicious? She literally kills Ayano and nobody even turns to look in her direction.
If the students know who Ayano is, then that might make sense, but they would immediately be afraid of her and would call the police, probably. So they don't know. So why does Nemesis get a free pass for murder?

"Because uuuh, you see, her real name is Nem Esis, and she is part of the Esis bloodline so she has invisibility super powers (and was she was born without emotions but i won't explain anything now cause it would be a spoiler). Her powers don't work against Ayano cause her Aishi heritage gives her Eagle vision HITMAN vision so she can see invisible people, just like she can look through walls." - YandereDev

Because everything in the game is extremely poorly thought out. Cameras don't register dead bodies, you can't pass baseball bats through metal detectors, Nemesis sprouts infinite heads when you dismember her (how does this even happen)... the list goes on and on.

If Eva took more than a few minutes to think out features, he could add some cool strategy into the game such as weapons that actually have pros and cons in different situations (i.e. the baseball bat going through metal detector). This goes without saying but Nemesis was so obviously shoe-horned in as fap material.

Eva should just make eroge games already. Little to no plot and tons of bobos. No one will hate him for it and there is still a huge untapped Western hentai-game market (as most hentai games are Japanese-only games). However, eroge games don't give industry fame and that's really what he wants. From what I've seen, he doesn't have a passion for game design, he just wants to be seen as the YandereDev - the man, the legend, the solo developer of the super Youtube sensation anime boobie slaughter.

Because otherwise Alex would need to develop a backstory for her. And he is one of the few game writers were no story at all is immediatly superior to ANYTHING he would come up.

Wait, he really made the Aishi stuff canon ? I thought that was just something one of his retarded fanbois suggested on Reddit.

Aside from not implementing that sort of thing, the whole game takes place from Ayano's perspective. It could be the acts freak out the students (at least from a lore perspective), but Ayano wouldn't notice that because she's gotten shanked in the throat. Presumably, her opponent doesn't have the same requirements as the player does.

That doesn't explain how she's able to take her knife through a metal detector without setting it off.

In a roundabound way YandereDev kinda acts like he is a mere fan. His decicions are mostly driven by what he himself would like to see in the game; I doubt there is even one aspect in this trainwreck that he included solely on the base that the game will feel more cohorent for it; anything we already have is either minimum bones, fulfilling one of his likes or constantly demanded by his fanbase. We could even make a game out of it: Name a thing you can interact with that neither relates to anime tropes or memes etc. or directly to a game mechanic that is just there to make the game better. I guess not even his most dedicated fans will have to think a while to even find one.
Any dedicated artist knows when it's time to put the own ego behind to make a better product.

That's easy, it's made out of YandereDevBullshitium, a rare substance that is there to make stuff more convenient for YandereDev.

I chalk that up to the game coming out piecemeal and the reuse of assets. Perhaps in future instalments, the"knife" is a sharpened toothbrush, or she will have to deal with the same limitations as you do.

Even if Nem Esis doesn't follow the same rules the player does for whatever BS reason, it's still stupid. She is a "professional assassin" but instead of trying to murder you secretly she will kill you in front of other people, it's breaks any suspension of disbelief.

In hitman bloodmoney, 2 of your targets are also disguised assassins that are hunting you too, but if they spot will and there are people nearby they won't attack. One of them will hide in the crowd while following you and when you go to an alley will shoot you in the back, the other will seduce you into a room and if you follow her and wait, she will cutscene-kill you.

I guess i'm expecting too much of Alex coding skill but this isn't impossible and he is clearly stealing all from Hitman anyway so he could at least do it right.

He doesn't really need to, a texture change (and a few shader tweeks) would fully sufice, a ceramic knife could do the trick easily. Over here there is no problem to get one, but I don't know how hard it's in the states (or in Japan, which matters more in der Yandereversum).

Which makes one wonder why Yandere-chan herself doesn't simply get one.

Because Alex would come up with a shit idea like how it's special ceramic that makes detectors beep or something, then whine about how it would be a gamebreaker.

Or just because he didn't think about it.

EDIT : Apparently, some ceramic knives still contain metal pieces and millimeter-wave metal detectors can detect ceramic blades, so it wouldn't be a perfect solution either : http://travel.stackexchange.com/questions/57130/ceramic-knives-and-airport-or-any-other-security

Well, but he stated that that thing is a regular metal detector. It would stretch suspension of disbelief when the school gets milimeter scanners, that would imply that they expect the pupils to go gret lengths to do criminal stuff. But then I'd also seriously wonder why they have so much dangerous tools simply lying around.
