Personally, I thought the video was okay. If he’s truly doing things out of his comfort zone like implementing a save system or attempting other ideas, good for him. If he keeps it up (I don’t think he will), maybe he’ll improve.

Even if he scrapped some things, you need to fail before you suceed, especially at his skill level.

I am betting this because yanderedev repeats himself so much so no doubt he will make that exact same video again because he already techincally done it 3 times with 3 other videos.

And him playing the victim only helps whatever left of his fanbase to come closer together to support him due to they think he is being victimized thus keep this money stream going so no doubt he will go for that gremlin farms crap again.

This game has been in development for nearly five years and just now is getting a save system?

I get that everyone needs downtime every once in a while to stream Red Dead 2 or whatever, but this game could've been in a release-ready state in 2016 or 2017 if he actually treated this game like it was his job.

He's making anime Hitman, it's not a quantum computer. Yes coding can be a pain in the ass, I'm sure, but it's not so hard you do one line a day and give up.

This game has so much potential, it's just a shame it probably won't be finished in my fucking lifetime at this rate

I've to agree with him that putting a save system into the game is still too early, so that was actually a good decision.

But the fact that the dlc rivals already have concept artwork while he has no idea what to do with some of the main ones is so fucking stupid.

He seriously needs to chill with the DLC. The first rival isn't finished. And although I don't blame him for fanasising about possible DLC stuff, cause that can be fun to do, he should really just set it aside firnow, keep all this stuff in a separate folder to only be added to when a good amount of progress is done, and then talked about no earlier than the 8th rival. (And the 8th rival is still a bit too early, but at least by then the game is nearly done)

That's honestly the only part of how video that actually bugged me. I do wish he would stop making pointless videos and just work on the game...like....it's really sad when I want someone to prove me wrong.

Please do it. Please please do it. It would not surprise me if he didn't credit Glitch at all because Alex IS that much of a petty cuck. There's not much of the game to defend though since it's just stolen assets.

There's no point for a save system if a game is less than half complete and a total mess, when a save done today will not work with the game tomorrow.

That said, listening how he can only save student state and not anything else, and how he'll have to manually modify the saving/loading code as the development progresses, shows how messy the code is. In a reasonably programmed Unity game, there's a single game state and you just dump all of it to disk, and it contains only the things that are gameplay-related, not configuration or other incidental things. Knowing Alex, he probably is going to dump the students (since they're reasonably encapsulated) and then manually add all the other pieces of state scattered around the program to the save.

BTW, his income dropped to pre-gremlin levels. Still not bad, since without the gremlin video he would've dropped below $3000 right now.
