I agree with Chris. Hear me out on this.

Aside from his off point about pedophiles being welcomed in with open arms, the rest of his rant is actually pretty spot on. The problem with taking the MLP horses and turning them into people is that it strips away many layers of the otherworldly nature. The basement dwellers don't like MLP because of its cuteness, they like it because embracing a talking horse in a made-up fantasy world takes them completely out of their miserable realities. It's escapism at its finest.

He's saying that humans aren't the problem. In the previous generations of MLP there were humans that took care of the ponies. The problem with making the ponies into humans is that it's no longer escapism, it''s no longer fantasy, it's trashy teen pop drama akin to the power puff girls when they gave them MANOS and tits.

All the shows he names are more intelligent than prissy "random access humor" cartoon network series and I think Chris gets lost in the idea of being a nihilistic Daria or a teen witch. Watching that kind of stuff helps pacify him over to the next day and he enjoys the shows even when he doesn't understand all the jokes. Daria is just high enough over his head that he can feel good about understanding intelligent humor without being completely lost in what is happening.

This pony shit lacks the fun escapism of MLP and doesn't give the humor of Daria. It's the worst of both worlds, teen girls nobody gives a fuck about and jokes and plot that a child can easily comprehend. Chris doesn't like it because it offers him nothing.
Spot on here. The main reason I, and hopefully other older MLP fans enjoyed the show was that it was a lighthearted jaunt through fantasy. It didn't have that shitty toilet humor or "randum xDDDD" crap, it was reasonably well animated and the jokes were decent. I'm not really a die hard fan, but it was pretty greedy of Hasbro to decide to take the "highskool drama" route to cash in on the current "superimportant teenage years of our lives"fad. But this is the CWCki forums, and it's about Chris. He probably took it harder than most given his long history even with the non-FIM show. I guess this is like when EA swallowed Westwood and shat out RA3. *yawn* that's about the best comparison I can make. I don't see what's so special about this update. A piece of Chris' carefully constructed world of denied reality has broken, and thus it's complaining and (:_(

If you don't like the anthropomorphic aspects of MLP, and you don't like horses, why would you watch MLP in the first place?

Question: Is having a bunch of bronies jerk off to cartoon teenagers better or worse than having them jerk off to cartoon horses? :?

Doesn't matter to me if they aren't hurting anybody.

Of course they could go to da slammer if there's EQ porn on their HDDs. America regards cartoon CP as real CP.

No it doesn't. Federal child pornography laws forbid any 3D material depicting a minor and drawn material depicting an actual person as a minor. Twilight Sparkle is fine, Suri Cruise isn't. That's the legal distinction.

I'm talking human Twilight here. I read that there was a guy who got convicted because of Simpson's CP

I thought that was in Australia.

Chris, you are way too late, the perverts are already prevalent in the fan-base. To be honest, with all the autism and the other issues he has, I'm surprised he's not a "clopper". I just find it funny that he's starting to hate the only thing he likes anymore.

Ponies have become supporters of trolling, and Tara Strong is their Princess Trollestia. Of course Chris would hate them now.

Wait, he only found out about it now? Weren't we discussing what would happen if he found out about the MLP humans show a few months ago?

Well, it looks like we got our answer. :D

(After viewing the trailer, I'm more bothered by the fact that this is a whole movie made in Flash and it's not like Secret of Kells, which is partially made with Flash and looks amazing and is a great movie you must see it right away immediately - ANT THIS THING JUST LOOKS AWFUL the animation is better on the show, the BGs are bland and dull, the characters look stiff stiff stiff stiff, you'd think a feature length movie to be seen in theaters would look somewhat better than the show but apparently not - but yeah this is incredibly stupid, why do I care. Flash just GRINDS MY GEARS I guess)

so yeah anyway, boy is chris a weiner, hahahaha

I doubt Tara Strong will have anything to say, she's too busy planning the glorious assault on 14 Branchland Court with pickle guns. I also think that Lauren Faust has too many things on her hands (Trying to get a green light for that Galaxy Girls thing)

Wait so this is going to be a movie as in it will be shown in theaters? Totally sounds like a direct-to-DVD gimmick.

EDIT- It appears to be one of those fast-track releases.
Released in theaters- June
Home Video- August
On TV- Fall 2013.

So it will probably get a limited release. Similar to how WWE did movies for awhile now that I think about it.

Seems to be.

The power of the brony dollar...

So wait this is just a movie? As in, something you won't see on whatever channel MLP airs...
Well then, don't pay to see it. End of story

It's never that simple with this idiot.

He has to see it out of some bizarre brand loyalty thing.

They ought to re-air Generation 2 with "My Little Pony Tales."

Thanks for strengthening my theory there, Chris! At least I know you did watch MLPT!

According to The Hub's Facebook, Equestria Girls will be airing in the Fall. So, eventually he'll see it.

His brand loyalty is strange. Like he has to see this despite seeming to hate it. Different from his "I love everything Sonic" mentality. He certainly is an odd duck.

According to a friend who heard it through the grapevine, /mlp/ is trying to rile bronies into boycotting this new re-imagining of My Little Pony. I wonder why they think it'll work. They don't have as much influence as they think.

I would be willing to believe this is an attempt by Hasbro to purposefully lose the unwanted attention.

I have a feeling that this could be a 'New Coke Gambit'.
