Now I have to play this shitshow.

Side point: I hate that these mods feel the need to have scripted sequences and set pieces out the wahzoo. Fallout 3 and New Vegas saved that stuff for the climaxes. A lot of these people seem to have taken the disappointment of Fallout 4 as a personal slight from Daddy Bethesda.

Well yeah, either they did no background checks or they ignored anything wrong. Either there was no quality control or they thought human snake hybrid breeders was okay to release

They were dumb either way
 
Well for palette cleanser mods "for the enclave" still has the best joinable enclave mod and it lets them be more than 2 dimensional cardboard cutouts and new vegas bounties has been fairly entertaining so far

A lot of modders work on mods because they hope that they'll get hired by some big game company because of it (which does happen frequently). If everyone hates what you did, it's a complete waste. No one wants to hire the modder behind a hilarious failure who associates with pedos.
This is why they're always extremely protective of their work.

If he were smart, he’d come out and say “I only did the technical work, nothing to do with the story or writing” even if that was a bald faced lie. The only praise this mods getting is mainly for its programming. Everything else is straight poison. But these are Fallout modders we’re talking about, they’re on par with Elder Scroll modders for ego and retardation. This whole affair is reminding me of the guy who made the “Skyrim Civil War” mod. Think he trooned out and took his mod down after Trump won in 2016, after threatening to do so during the entire election.

xilandro is extremely sensitive to any form of criticism and has been blasting his twitter with half hearted defenses about how everyone is out to get his perfect mod and it's everyone else's fault but his and the other devs.

I will say something as a person who is obliquely involved within the dev cycle, one of the reasons nobody knew how bad it'd gotten internally is because most casual devs (people who contributed art, VA work and some assets) had no information about what was in the mod beyond their own contributions and what was posted publicly in the modders & vip channels (don't be too excited about this channel, there really wasn't anything worthwhile in there last I checked) due to a deliberate effort of the lead devs from suppressing information about the mod as a whole. this could set off alarm bells but the real explanation is that devs started restricting info because an ex-collaborator named urias had done a poor job at the duties he was assigned and when he was kicked out, attempted in multiple occasions to leak early frontier builds in revenge (they were all taken down almost immediately) before being permanently banned. this is fairly well known around frontier circles but there is an explanation pinned in the starboard channel:

Also do you know any good BoS or Enclave mods for 4? I think a "going into the wasteland to civilize it" story might get me back into the game for a bit.
