Fallout (to me) felt like its retro-futuristic hyper-capitalistic features were the backdrop to humanity surviving an American STALKER-land. The use of the Ink Spots in Fallout 1 was intended for the audience to know how pre-war America felt ages ago (like how 90s kids felt WW2). I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I feel like Bethesda (Emil Pagliarulo) has forgotten what "War, War Never Changes" meant in the first place.
