Yeah, but how long will that take to release? Skywind, the mod that converts Morrowind to Skyrim's engine, has yet to come out. Either way, we have a long time to wait for our next Fallout fix.If not we always have 4NV.

Piper's sister or the ghoul found in the fridgeSo, given that every Fallout game suggests a plot point in a future installment, what exactly has Fallout 4 given us?
- Fallout 3 and The Replicated Man quest introduced us to the institute
- Fallout 3 also prefaced the Nuka World DLC
- Fallout: New Vegas mentions that Robert House was an esteemed engineer for the Cambridge Institute
- MacReady (Fallout 3 minor character, then Fallout 4 companion)
- MacReady Mentions something about his son being ill, the disease being of unknown specification
every single time i play new vegas again, i find something newI am currently maintaining like two committed playthroughs for New Vegas atm and am planning on starting a third. I forget how replayable this game is.
I guess Fallout 4 was the compromise between full on level scaling like Oblivion where every bandit would get glass or deadric armor and New Vegas where the game generally kept you on a path by adding in difficulty around the map. Fallout 4 things scale but what level they start and stop scaling seems to be based on how far they are from the start of the game. So with this method you are generally free to go exploring how you want without immediately running into a high level area and getting fucked up.i hate that bethesda decided to add level-scaling to fallout
"alright, so i just got this cool ass suit of power armor and a big ass missile launcher
time to steamroll some low-level enemi- oh wait... they've got power armor and missile launchers too"
true or not, it still felt like everywhere i went there were always enemies that were equal in difficulty as the last onesI guess Fallout 4 was the compromise between full on level scaling like Oblivion where every bandit would get glass or deadric armor and New Vegas where the game generally kept you on a path by adding in difficulty around the map. Looking into it seems to be more complicated where areas have an intended level scaling range but at the same time entering an area for the first time causes enemies to scale to your level and respawn at the same level from now on. Also it seems that certain enemy varieties will stop scaling at level caps but others will scale infinitelytrue or not, it still felt like everywhere i went there were always enemies that were equal in difficulty as the last ones
leveling up and getting better gear is pretty much pointless if the enemies are always the same as you
if you run into an area where the enemies are too strong, just go to a different place
it's that simple
whatever the case, level-scaling is gayLooking into it seems to be more complicated where areas have an intended level scaling range but at the same time entering an area for the first time causes enemies to scale to your level and respawn at the same level from now on. I cant really say from experience since I've never had a character pass around level 60 but when you get high enough a lot of enemies can't keep up while others do and just keep getting spongier. It sounds like a mess to me now. At least on the plus side you can always mod the level scaling how you see fit.
just finished fallout 2
the finale was rather "meh," but the overall experience was pretty great
if you liked new vegas, then you should give fallout 2 a try
what exactly is wrong with it?Everything about Fallout 2 is wonderful except the opening dungeon sequence. Fuck that noise.
The temple was put in there because the publisher at the time forced black isle to put in a tutorial area.what exactly is wrong with it?
i didn't have that much of a problem with it, but everyone else shits all over it for some reason
Ah, god damnit. atleast theres still quite a few other reworks going on out there.
Edit: on second thought, nevermind, i thought this was fallout Cascadia, which adds in the classic skills and perks and is fairly far into development.
You mean New California right? The new vegas mod? Yeah i realized that was nearing finish, but didnt realize it would be THIS month, maybe like june or julyCascadia and Frontier are still in development and apparently project California is due out this month.
Well, hopefully that concept can become a reality one day, if only so that we won't have to wait until 2025 or so for 5.There was going to be a fallout: Lonestar in the same vain as the other two mentioned TCs, but it looks like that one has been dead in the water for over a year
