Fallout series

Well I know this for sure based off the screenshots: They have power armor and they have enough of it to the point where it's for sale. So if they found a military cache that the Brotherhood, Enclave, or any other powerful faction managed to not find before them...it had A LOT of armor in it. T-60 armor to be exact which I'm guessing is better than the T-51b armor and possibly any Enclave armor. If they were short on Power Armor or got it from looting, I guess it would just be sold as generic T-60. But it specifically says Atom Cat T-60 which means it probably has some sort of custom work done on it and I doubt they would just sell custom armor if they didn't have a lot of it.
I have no clue how they got their armor though. If it was by looting, that's dumb and means they must have killed a ton of people wearing T-60. If it was from a military base/cache, that's also dumb as it means that a small group of damn greasers managed to find a large amount of high tech military equipment before a group like the Brotherhood could. Half of this is speculation though based off of the few screenshots I've seen so I could be wrong about some things.
That considered, it kinda makes one wonder if the armor itself is either like that of the Brotherhood or that of NCR, the latter being more of salvaged suit that had some modifications. Then again, it also makes one wonder if the Institute might of given them some suits (either through diplomacy or leaving it someplace where the Atom Cats would get it). Either way, one may as well wait until the game is out and see how they have the armor. That way, we can see if it chalks up as bad writing on Bethesda's part.

I can't think of a single reasonable explanation though why they would have power armor. Looting doesn't make sense, diplomacy with the Institute doesn't make sense if what that ZImmerman back in F3 still holds true, the Institute being that careless also doesn't make sense if that holds true, and them finding an undiscovered military cache doesn't make sense to me considering the presence of 2 major factions in Boston.
The only reasonable explanation I can think of is that they're some sort of splinter faction from either the Brotherhood or the institute and that's why they have a surplus of armor, but even that is pushing it. The Atom Cat gang seems rather small and the idea that either faction would be that careless and stupid to let all that tech just waltz out their doors seems unreasonable to me.
I guess we can only wait for release or more leaked material. If I saw the stream where those pics came from I'd probably have a much better idea of who they are.

Don't waste your time thinking about the reasons for it all. This is Bethesda.

They probably just thought, "Let's have a gang of greasers, but since there's no cars lets have them be all about power armour."

This is unrelated to power armor, but I thought I should point out something insanely goofy. The clipboard the Vault guy holds in the intro is a shield.

I thought power armor was handled really well in Fallout 3 and the quest to get the T-51b power armor both made sense and was satisfying.
I heavily disagree. The T51b may have been handled well, but every other set was piss easy to find. The supposedly ultra-advanced Hellfire armor is right in your face regularly once you make some decent progress in the main quest.

I always thought PA was handled rather poorly in F3 myself. Why does it slow you down? The whole point of power armour is that the servos do all the work so that the suit feels light and shouldn't disrupt movement.

I'm willing to accept a gang of greasers that customize power armor. Fallout 3 already made the mistake of establishing everyone and their grandmother can get a suit. The existence of the Institute in the Commonwealth probably means the region has the same excess the capital does. Besides, who doesn't like greasers?

I should have elaborated, I feel like the base game handled power armor well in the sense that it was only worn by Brotherhood, Outcasts, and the Enclave and I was expecting a little less from Bethesda. You couldn't get it anywhere else except from corpses which I feel shouldn't be really possible. The T-51b quest was easily the best part of the game for me until Broken Steel came along and every Enclave soldier decided to wear super advanced Hellfire armor even though they still died in about 2-3 shots from my Wazer Wifle.

Not to mention those two Enclave soldiers that died in the Project Purity chamber in seconds even though Power Armour is established to be highly resistant against radiation.

How did James even cause Project Purity to leak huge amounts of radiation into the chamber again?

By pressing buttons. There's no actual source, no actual material leaked into the chamber. Therefore he pressed some buttons and gamma rays just came from nowhere.

Honestly he had no reason to even kill himself, he can't have known what the Enclave was about. He literally just didn't want anyone else controlling it. He was a selfish asshole and killed himself out of hubris if you actually look at it.

Well, he did just watch then shoot someone. I would assume that set off the "Oh shit these are assholes" alarm.

That's not all. Brotherhood scribes mention the armor being resistant to bullets and yet a regular commie assault rifle can take down an Enclave soldier.

Plus wouldn't the Brotherhood let him know who the Enclave are? Either way, if one really has to keep thinking about rads in Project Purity, James may as well pushed a button that would say "release all rads from water into chamber".

The idea that someone would include a button to "RELEASE DEADLY AMOUNTS OF RADIATION INTO CHAMBER YOU ARE IN" on a console for a project that aims to purify water is hilarious to me.

Just as hilarious as putting a self-destruct button inside Raven Rock that could be accessed by an AI that thinks of itself as the President of the United States. I know with the latter it would be to prevent the Brotherhood from getting hands on Enclave tech but then again, the AI president would make that moot thanks to access of said self-destruct function.

"Mr. President you are WRONG!"
"What? I am not wrong."
"Yes, you are WRONG."
"You bring up a good point. Instead of changing anything, I'm just going to murder countless people in this bunker by self-destructing. But before you go, please take the FEV I told you to release into Project Purity even though I was wrong about that. For some reason the door won't open unless you take it."
Based Bethesda writing does it again. If Colonel Autism couldn't convince Eden that he was wrong to poison the entire Wasteland, surely the stranger invading Raven Rock and murdering countless Enclave soldiers along the way can. Bless America.

Hell considering the point of the President's plan, it would of been better to tell Eden it would fail based on the fact that there wouldn't be enough pure humans to procreate without inbreeding and "background radiation" (which was the point President Richardson from 2 used to justify his genocidal plan) being everywhere. In short, one would bring up a point of America being screwed if Eden's plans were to go through. The only reason to take the FEV outside of that context was if somehow, the substance inside it was very dangerous if leaked and that it would be better to dispose somewhere else if an explosive self-destruct only made it worse instead of destroying it. But aside from, one likes to see how Bethesda handles their writing with the major characters and factions within Fallout 4.

So the ending got leaked. BY THE WAY YOU ONLY GET TWO DIFFERENT ENDINGS, GOTYAY.

Let me just say that as soon as I saw the achievement list, I knew what the twist would be.

Source please? Or just PM me what happens if it's been removed and you don't mind.
