I pre-ordered it a few days ago. That's something I've never done before.
Hope it pays off.

I tried too with Tale of Two Wastelands mod and I just felt unmotivated to travel the wastelands. It's just do tedious to go through the metro way that I `killall and then resurrect those who might be needed.I tried playing Fallout 3 again. Couldn't do it after remembering how much time I spent traveling under ground and killing ghouls.
My cousin bought FO4 as an early birthday gift for me. I love all of the other games, so hopefully this one isn't as botched as people are making it sound.
Considering the hype and all, one has like how marketing and the likes are spent into the quality we are hearing about with Fallout 4.

After playing it 3 times, I don't really share your opinion. I think the combat is good and the skill system is pretty great too. It's not Dark Souls-tier combat, but it's definitely leagues ahead of what games like Skyrim or Dragon Age: Inquisition had to offer.I kinda find it weird that everyone is singing the praises of the Witcher 3 (Which is a legendary game in my own opinion), but avoids the major flaws the game had (Lacked real replay value, due to an inferior combat system, crappy loot that didn't feel rewarding enough, and a relatively stagnant open world which lacked the fun of exploring).
Even then, they did produce a game close to FO4's quality with a significantly lower budget, and I praise Projekt Red for that.
