At least Castlevania fans got to eat pretty good with Bloodstained. I'd love it if a high quality Fallout knockoff came out that nailed the best parts of the franchise it was emulating.is it really that fucking hard to make a Julius game? God, I hate konami so much
Could always try stuff like ATOM RPG and Encased. At least Castlevania fans got to eat pretty good with Bloodstained. I'd love it if a high quality Fallout knockoff came out that nailed the best parts of the franchise it was emulating.
ATOM is less fallout more isometric Metro, not even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.Could always try stuff like ATOM RPG and Encased.
I think the reason morrwind wasn't mentioned because it was actually well written and made by a guy on shrooms. Ted peterson and michael kirkbride are quite the duo when comes to world building and storytelling.Don't forget Tribunal & Bloodmoon being excellent story expansions for Morrowind, which is a good story game.
Which exact version of the RPU patch did you play with?I have been addicted to playing fallout 2 with the newest RPU patch and the EcCo mod and I cant say that im even tired yet, I have multiple different playthroughs of different playstyles and its truly making me realize how simple and content the older games were, jfyi RPU and EcCo are still being updated, the latest release will come with an extended inventory so if you have a bigger monitor you will benifit from having more space in trading menus and your inventory. The github page for the RPU has documentation on which mods are which iirc.
2.3.3u29 ( rpu release 29 )Which exact version of the RPU patch did you play with?
People claim Wasteland 3 is a great classic Fallout successor but I have my doubts. At least Castlevania fans got to eat pretty good with Bloodstained. I'd love it if a high quality Fallout knockoff came out that nailed the best parts of the franchise it was emulating.
It's very okish. I'd put it at a solid 7/10.People claim Wasteland 3 is a great classic Fallout successor but I have my doubts.
One of my biggest complaints about Wasteland 3 is you'll have absolute bangers like Blood of the Lamb that play only for a single fight and never again, and then you'll have their versions of America the Beautiful and Battle Hymn of the Republic that are painful to listen to and you'll hear them every battle in their designated locations. It's very okish. Certainly better than The Outer Worlds but not something I'd ever replay.
Wasteland 3 is one of those games which make me sad because conceptually the ideas are amazing but then they are kind of underwhelming when they actually show up in game.
Him putting in the effort to balance it all is pretty insane. Some Halo modder has been working on porting F3/FNV assets into Halo 3 for a Fallout mod:
Looks really cool. Imagine Halo gameplay but as a BoS member going around the wasteland on missions agains ghouls, raiders, super mutants, and Enclave.
Wasteland 3 is a good game but it neither feels like Fallout or plays like Fallout. The combat it way more tactical like X-Com compared to Fallout and the combat is basically always forced meaning there's no non-combat focused builds that you can make like you can in Fallout 1 and 2. The story feels a lot different too with it having to do with weird factions of people that would feel very out of place in a Fallout game like those weird guys who were based around 1980's American culture.People claim Wasteland 3 is a great classic Fallout successor but I have my doubts.
It would just be a Wasteland game with a terrible plot and you get to have sex with weird mutant monsters. I think I would rather see just about any other company make the next game. That being said I'd love to see Larian take a shot at the IP.
It has a few nods to Fallout in it and I see it as set in the same universe, just from the perspective of Russia after the bombs fell.ATOM is less fallout more isometric Metro,
If Bethesda had any talent, they would have expanded the Fallout: Tactics universe/spin-off where you build bases, launch invasions on enemies, with the choice of wiping them out or letting them join your faction. Some Halo modder has been working on porting F3/FNV assets into Halo 3 for a Fallout mod:

The Age of Decadence is more of a puzzle game than an RPG. You need to not just build your character correctly you need to approach the game's content in a specific order to succeed. You will need to either trial and error or look up a guide. Colony Ship is more free formed, less bottle necked and easier to pick up and play.Oh, you want a Fallout-style cRPG to play? Ok guys, hear me out. The Age of Decadence. I'm gonna get so much shit for this aren't I? Kamahn doodz, it's a post-apocalyptic game but instead of nukes and Americana you have godlike beings and ancient Rome. You can also beat the whole game while just being a yapper.
Wasteland 3 is set only a few decades after the nukes hit, and those were in what, the 2000's? Its definitely more of a Mad Max post apoc thing with the survivors still just struggling to get by whereas Fallout is post-post-apocalypse where civilization has already started to recover and rebuild.Wasteland 3 is a good game but it neither feels like Fallout or plays like Fallout.
