Idk bros. Even with fallouts magical SCIENCE! I just find it hard to believe ol Doc had enough on hand to repair your scrambled noggin and fix your face after being shot twice point blank. Sure it was "only" a 9 mil. Sure, people have survived seemingly impossible shit irl like the pipe brain or failed parachutes when skydiving. We've probably all seen the vid of the nigger who's woman accidentally headshotted him in the car, and he somehow lived.

So there's real world comparisons we can point to, but those situations also didn't rely on a backwoods doctor in a glorified shack who most likely wouldn't have much more than what was necessary for the typical injuries he'd have to treat in Goodsprings. A town where the worst you'd have to deal with is Big-Horner booboos and Gecko bites.
I guess it makes for a fun, logical reason to go for a low INT run but that's as far as my tism will allow me to try to logic the situation away.

Guess those doctor bags and stimpacks really are just that amazing.
Keep in mind that the game reveals Benny to be an over-confident moron who's in way over his head. It's entirely possible that both shots barely graze the Courier and at most Doc Mitchell has to pick a few stray pieces of metal out of his/her face.
Also, as a Vault dweller, Doc Mitchell would've had access to better medical tech/training. But the fun part of New Vegas is your headcanon, and low INT playthroughs are fun as fuck.

you are easily the most functional person in dead money
You are greatly overestimating my Courier who is almost as retarded as I am IRL
fallout 4 only is as popular as it is due to fallout 3 being the soft relaunch of the game
Hey I play it because I'm autistic about building settlements... ok I'll admit I'm the odd one out.
or 10 luck. Afterall it is VEGAS BABEH!
I did this, my courier had high luck, agility, agility and charisma, the idea is he is a petty selfish thief who can bullshit his way out of most situations but sucks at close combat.
The person who wrote the story for the TV series was a fallout fan back in college. He had only played fallout 1 & 2, and not New Vegas. The NCR wasn't that big in those games while the brotherhood was made out to be a nationwide organization for some reason.
Really? then why does aspects of the series look like someone who just saw clips of the games on youtube and greatly misunderstood? I'm pretty sure the fact that stimpacks are portrayed as this instant heal-wolverine like miracle is because someone who never played the game saw some clips of Fallout 4 and then thought "yeah I got this".
Unless of course there was executive meddling which I guess is pretty much a given since this is an amazon show.
Keep in mind that the game reveals Benny to be an over-confident moron who's in way over his head.
Also if you play as a female (which I'm sure no one in here did) you learn the female courier is very good at giving footjobs

Doc Mitchell isn't some random shitbag with a doctors bag. He's an actual Vault Dweller who was a trained doctor and came from a functional background. He's probably the best doctor in the Mojave by default who isn't a brotherhood scribe or a follower of the apocalypse, if not better.

I actually do it from time to time depending on my mood, like one time I did a femme fatale type character. Even took Black Window to proposition him for sex only to immediately attack him once he got to his room. Though like normal I shot Maria outta his hand and used it to kill him with a headshot too just as God intended.

Based, combat inept builds are some of the most fun to bullshit around with imo.

Same, that and I genuinely do enjoy the gunplay. Eventually the gun designs do grow on ya a little bit, like as shit as the design is I kinda grew to love how retarded the "assault" rifle was and I think I said somewhere in this thread before that at least it looks fine with power armor.

EDIT: Clarifying I did attack him in his room.

Clicked this thread and saw this conversation:
Long and short of it is apparently he got caught flirting with underage boys.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=D4BIRBNbBF8:85Shittily edited video but it keeps the receipts. If it turns out this is just a fag making shit up and using some other fag's Discord DMs and I have out-of-date information, lemme know.
a bunch of discord gay OPS on Kiwi farms we require a higher degree of proof than screenshots that any idiot can create within inspect element
it would literally take me maybe 20 minutes to create all of those screenshots and I'm an idiot when it comes to coding
I'm gonna need a higher degree of proof than screenshots of a discord

That's bullshit. The usual suspects(redditors and bethesda fanboys who have actual pedophiles who groom kids in their discord) have been calling him a pedo with no proof for years. It's not a stretch to say they likely made something up as "proof" now that he can't defend himself. It's the easiest way to "cancel" someone and it is an emotionally charged accusation so much of the time it doesn't even need to be true. How many people are still calling Null of all people a pedophile today, and how many are just going along with it to shut down kiwi farms?
Then again, Schizo was a known discord nigger, so this does muddy the situation. I don't believe it was all rainbows and sunshine there, as there is no such thing as an innocent discord server. It's more believable to think he did indeed find Christ, however, as the general direction his videos were going in before he eventually shut down his channel was that he was tired of the current state of Fallout and politics. Not hard to believe he wanted out of youtube/Fallout and just move on with his life, especially now that the fandom is tainted by all the niggers who came in from the "canon" TV show.

I guess we will never know the truth, but I am more inclined to believe that redditors that were seething at him for years and made false accusations against him for just as long are full of shit. I am surprised he got on the Sneedclave's bad side, or that they are still around. I am guessing they either turned into sharty-lite or trooned out like the rest of the Fallout fandom, after the Frontier situation. Either way, I can see how Schizo would trigger them, they don't seem like they have anything of value to offer today. People who stick around kicking dead memes into the ground rarely do.

Getting all the sierra madre vending machine codes basically breaks the game because of unlimited stims and buffout. You can then go and sell the weightless buffout to motor runner for 22 caps a pop and walk away with thousands of caps.
Even better, the .357 and .308 bullets can be broken down for infinite lead and powders, letting you pretty much print most ammo types as well at the reloading bench that is thoughtfully provided right there in the BOS bunker. If you just want free money, you can also buy holorifle mods and sell them at a high price, but that probably isn't as efficient as other methods, like the ones you posted. I would have to do my math on that one, not like it matters when you can just carry out all the gold bars, even if you don't abuse any exploits you can always break the bank and turn the sierra madre chips from winnings into pre war money(protip: you can sell the gold bars for pre war money right there with the the villa/casino vendors as well, saving you quite a lot of weight and letting you take more supplies for the road. There is more than enough Pre War money from the vendors to sell all your gold bars)

As broken as DM is when you complete it, let's not forget about OWB and the ability to turn any plant or herb into one of your choosing. You can theoretically make dozens if not hundreds of stimpacks that way, as long as you have enough empty syringes(which are also conveniently given to you in bulk within the DLC). Zion has fruits and herbs up the ass, for example, collect all of them and then go back to the Sink and you got hundreds of Salient Green right there. You can also print .357 ammo from the vending machines and keep K9000 supplied forever, or turn the ammo into powders/lead and make .44 magnum more easily for FIDO. It's good to reward players for completing the hardest bits of content in the game, not like there is much to challenge you at that point anyways.

Yeah after Dead Money is done all you really have of note for a challenge is the Courier's Mile or whatever the fuck it was called and the two zones that open up if you nuke the Bear or the Bull or both.

Yeah but I have bad loot goblin tendencies that I have been trying to wrangle for years now. Bethesda games have only made them worse.

Fallout 4 makes me an even bigger loot hoarder compared to 3/NV or Elder scrolls games. The fact one can easily hit a key to open the console to change carryweight makes the habit as bad as it is.

Has anyone actually tried using a 9mm pistol in game? Or read Joshua Graham's backstory? Humans are significantly more durable in Fallout than real life. Surviving two headshots is unusual (as pointed out by NPCs) but far from impossible.

Christine: Fucking mute bitch I helped her and even moved the controls to the computer so she wouldn't need to go into the elevator and trigger her PTSD, well she hates me anyway because I'm evil or some shit according to her, ended up killing her, I did reoload the save but all the dialogue options just end with her becoming hostile and attacking, so fuck her.
Not being funny but I'm genuinely curious how you accomplished this despite transferring the controls.

I believe the fact that you get shot by 9mm is a nod by the developers that this gun cannot kill anyone in the base game with just one shot. I can't find who said it or where so take it with a grain of salt, but it would be interesting bit of meta humor.
Joshua Graham was originally going to be in Van Buren as well, and in that game he would have been found hanging. If the player chose to cut him, he would become a companion, but there would be...consequences. There were very few companions in that game that came without strings attached, and with Graham that would have been him being a very evil son of a bitch that people would hate and even start confrontations over. In NV he did a complete 180 and is now calmed, not just that but his form of execution was changed from hanging to being thrown off a cliff and set on fire. Same character, different take on him.
I would say less that people are more or less durable and more that there is better ways to keep yourself safe from harm or recover from it, like stimpacks/rad x and radaway/auto docs/power armor. Both Courier and Graham were just incredibly lucky, you also get people who survive absolutely deadly things happening to them irl too.

Oh same, the game outright encourages it too with its borderline lootershooter esque gameplay, though you can use the console to do it in 3/NV, Oblivion and Skyrim too. I don't remember if you could in Morrowind off the top of my head however.

IIRC, Morrowind doesn't have a simple command to increase carry weight besides setting strength and god mode doesn't give you unlimited carry weight. Learning what types of loot has a good value/weight ratio is part of learning the game. I'm kind of dreading how the Skywind troons are going to inevitably mess with this.

There is case of this random Mexican soldier who survived firing squad and coup de grace in 1915.

Yeah it is almost impossible that courier 6 survived, but we are talking about RPG protagonist. It would not be first time or last time Fallout protagonist did something almost impossible.

I really do wonder how Van Buren would of turned out if it ever finished. The idea of going to Denver sounded cool, and apparently there was a space station you would go to as well.

I think, that sounds about right honestly and I do agree.
God I have been dreading that shit for years now.

From what I read in the wiki, the reason she doesn't trust me is because I didn't converse and exhaust all her dialogue before the Gala event, apparently I was supposed to pass several perception checks to earn her trust.

Well my Courier is such a giga chad he just moved his brain to dodge the bullet

Hot take but I really liked that aspect of Dead Money, it REALLY made your dialogue choices and getting to learn about the team matter. Shame she is a carpet muncher tho.
