Fallout series

The art designer who made Fallout 3 what it was died, that is literally it. Goes to show that, like with everything else, whatever good Bethesda produces is by accident, when they get a couple of talented people on board.
Adam Adamowicz.
Such a shame. He done a lot of the art concept of FO4.
Why ditch it? I'll never know.

Well, we can infer Bethesda wanted to move onto cartoony Borderlands style like it was already said. Shame, but at the same time, the game itself moved further into not-serious cartoon territory so it kind of fits. This is why not a lot of old time fans care that much about Fallout 4 and regularly mark it as non-canon, at least with Fallout 3 you could see it was a Fallout game at a first glance.

Here is a video made by a Youtuber going over how Bethesda is rewriting New Vegas for the Fallout TV series.

I expect more videos like this to appear the closer we get to the release of Season 2.
Oh good god what'd they do to the Tops :cryblood:
They LITERALLY just slapped the logo onto a Walmart and made it look a little old. This is worse than the E3 Strip downgrade.
oh god
i can't take more liberal modern sensibility fucking nonsense about the legion
His videos are pretty good, they usually contain zero to little politisperging even when talking about da nootzis.
One of the biggest tragedies in Fallout 4 and beyond has been losing the art deco artstyle for over the top atomic punk. For all of its flaws walking around downtown DC in fallout 3 looked amazing.
Reminds me of this Fallout 3 mod port that makes DC have actual skyscrapers, I would download it but the only thing stopping me is judging from the screenshots the view around the Washington Monument/National Mall looks really bad, nothing like real life.

The best part? The reason why performance is so bad on The Strip was because there is so much water underneath the ground that you will never see. You have no idea how removing that water improves stability on the strip, so much so that it could likely run without a problem on the 360 without the gay metal gates(not holding out any hopes for the PS3 version however, we should just be lucky that version works at all).
This is what happens when you give a studio so little time to finish the game they don't even have time to learn all the inner workings of your shitty outdated engine.

It shouldn't based on the lore. Fallout is hundreds of years into the future. Why should it look like our modern time at all? The bombs drop hundreds of years from now. The Wasteland is hundreds of years after that. Bethesda's entire Fallout design is like if the bombs dropped in 2008 and the Wasteland takes place in 2009 (which is basically Fallout 76).

If anything most of the Wasteland should be unrecognizable.

The apocalypse in the Fallout takes place in 2077.

As for the games and other media these are the years they take place in the setting:
Fallout 76: 2102-2104
Fallout: 2161
Fallout 2: 2241
Fallout 3: 2277
Falllout New Vegas: 2281
Fallout: 2287
Fallout TV Series: 2296-2297

I know, but there should be a certain degree of recognizability. The National Mall in base FO3 feels for lack of a better term "at home" surrounded by short buildings. For reference this is the real life National Mall, almost no buildings that are even half as tall as the Washington Monument.

What? How does that even follow? The literal driving force for the look of the game, chosen because of his ability to create a bold, distinctive look, dies, thus robbing them of that key element of the creative process is not indicative of it being "an accident", as in fact it is just the opposite, that the games were the product of a specific cohort of people brought together with very particular intention. The fact that they couldn't replace him and after could not replicate that style, means it wasn't an accident. Would be like saying because the drive shaft is shot on a car, this means that the movement of the car was an accident, retarded.

Wtf, it is a sequel or the remake the fucks never finished?
From what I gather it's an attempt by (some?) modders that worked on the original project to unfuck the Frontier and make something out of it.

Considering they were also the guys that somehow didn't notice or were okay with the sex slave child, feet shit and furry filth, I'm not exactly filled with confidence at this announcement.

if they scrap all of the story and writing and completely change the game design of the main quest and replace everyone that worked on it and tard wrangled everyone with retarded ideas and fetishes than maybe it'll be okay

Also
Fallout Tactics 2197-2198
Fallout BoS 2208

I feel like with the TV series they are going to retcon chunks of the story like deathclaws being US government experiments before 2077 that escaped in the early games seemed to be alluded to as vault-tec experiments in vault 4 of the tv series.

I had a NVHR crash and that seemed to fuck my whole game up. I have no clue what's wrong, best guess is that the crash somehow corrupted my UI or some other vital component as that is the closest I can get to replicating my issue from a google search.
Thankfully, I back up my build after every playthru so whatever broke, I can simply delete and re-download all my files just as they were before I started my current playthru. Let that be a reminder, if you don't backup everything regularly on your own drive, rather depending on fresh installs from Steam or some other service, one of these days your game might completely break and you will have to start fresh. You never know when it happens, might even come from a random update and then you're fucked.

Anyways, when searching what might be wrong, I came across a post on TTW forum. Let's see if I can chime in-

Oh, looks like the forums are closed and you have to engage with their discord circlejerk if you want to ask any technical questions, lmfao
Before you ask, the post in question was a mod that was deleted, as Roy is a spiteful cunt and deleted vast majority of mods people posted except a few that were released for the newest version of TTW(the one that's unbalanced and broken and people generally tend to not like). If there was a mod that you were looking for and you didn't back it up, tough shit it might be gone period. I was looking for Darnified UI to confirm if this was a HUD issue in my case, and what do you know, nobody bothered to upload the file on Nexus! Sure, there is extensions to the mod, but the original would be lost to time if it was only uploaded to the TTW forums as the file was removed. In case you're wondering, the file is still on Game Banana, but only because this was a popular mod back in the day. If this was something more obscure? It would be gone forever.

I pity anyone who is only getting started playing this game now. There is so many mods that are gone now, others are locked behind circlejerk discord servers, you have to depend on packs someone else arranged for you and who knows how well these even run, and god help you if some technical issue pops up and you don't have 10+ years of dealing with Gamebryo under your belt. BTW, if you want to get started modding the game, tough shit as the official wiki with documentation is gone and has been gone for god knows how long now. You have to depend on fan-made tutorials, which vary heavily in quality and information provided.

Every time I think about trying TTW I just remember stuff like this and my interest instantly dissipates. At this point despite all its flaws I would rather play vanilla FO3 & NV then deal with crap like this.

Turns out that my build that worked 100% before now doesn't fire up. I have no clue how it happened, so I can only assume that there is an ini file somewhere for one of the NVSE plugins or NVHR that screws with the game or maybe even a registry file that got corrupted related to the game.
Yeah, considering how streamlined gaming got, I don't know how anyone can even begin to get started with modding this game if even I am having technical problems with it.
Might just have to do a fresh install in the first time in 10 years and add content back in one mod at a time, to see where the hell things went wrong. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to try and hunt down everything, so at least that's not an issue.

Best of Times (the other VNV guide) doesn't update since last year.
And still mentions the best last version which was 3.3.2a.
Man, is a real shame how TTW became a clusterfuck everybody hates. Maybe there's the last good version uploaded somewhere.
