I had a NVHR crash and that seemed to fuck my whole game up. I have no clue what's wrong, best guess is that the crash somehow corrupted my UI or some other vital component as that is the closest I can get to replicating my issue from a google search.
Thankfully, I back up my build after every playthru so whatever broke, I can simply delete and re-download all my files just as they were before I started my current playthru. Let that be a reminder, if you don't backup everything regularly on your own drive, rather depending on fresh installs from Steam or some other service, one of these days your game might completely break and you will have to start fresh. You never know when it happens, might even come from a random update and then you're fucked.
Anyways, when searching what might be wrong, I came across a post on TTW forum. Let's see if I can chime in-

Oh, looks like the forums are closed and you have to engage with their discord circlejerk if you want to ask any technical questions, lmfao
Before you ask, the post in question was a mod that was deleted, as Roy is a spiteful cunt and deleted vast majority of mods people posted except a few that were released for the newest version of TTW(the one that's unbalanced and broken and people generally tend to not like). If there was a mod that you were looking for and you didn't back it up, tough shit it might be gone period. I was looking for Darnified UI to confirm if this was a HUD issue in my case, and what do you know, nobody bothered to upload the file on Nexus! Sure, there is extensions to the mod, but the original would be lost to time if it was only uploaded to the TTW forums as the file was removed. In case you're wondering, the file is still on Game Banana, but only because this was a popular mod back in the day. If this was something more obscure? It would be gone forever.
I pity anyone who is only getting started playing this game now. There is so many mods that are gone now, others are locked behind circlejerk discord servers, you have to depend on packs someone else arranged for you and who knows how well these even run, and god help you if some technical issue pops up and you don't have 10+ years of dealing with Gamebryo under your belt. BTW, if you want to get started modding the game, tough shit as the official wiki with documentation is gone and has been gone for god knows how long now. You have to depend on fan-made tutorials, which vary heavily in quality and information provided.
