I always laugh when retards cry out that obsidian should get the rights to fallout. Considering how dogshit their last few games have been, it'd be a disaster. And don't get me started on the argument that "fans do a better job" cause nigger I've seen the frontier.

Anyone bummed about the long ago cancelled Tactics 2? Where you'd actually get to play a truly hardcore villainous Brotherhood coming off the 'bad' ending of the original Tactics?

Such as shame so many of the ideas and plotlines of Tactics were massively downgraded in the future canon games.
Florida setting is getting recycled for Fallout Miami. I spoke with the mod lead on /fog/ and he confirmed that some elements from that game are getting brought back.
You know what? I always took the edgy Disciplines and the feral Pack in Nuka World.
I really hate the Operators.
Mechanically wise it's pointless as they both give you a legendary melee weapon each at the end of the questline, you obviously won't be running around with both of them. Operators give you a legendary sniper rifle that you can convert into an automatic assault rifle, probably making it one of the most powerful weapons in the game(like that AK you can buy where every consecutive shot is more powerful than the last).

Your point would be accurate if Frontier team wasn't mostly self admitted Bethesda fans that never even finished a full playthru of New Vegas in some cases, let alone even touched the older games. This was a project lead and produced by Fallout 3 and 4 fans who do not understand anything about Fallout New Vegas lore or themes, just look how they butchered Legion/NCR/Enclave.

Buffalo Bill's Resort & Casino (Bison Steve Hotel) in Primm will more or less be shutting down. Big time F.

I've always sided with the Operators and the Pack.
The Operators are assholes, but I've always had the impression that with enough caps they can be managed. They are the least raider like group out of the three, and can be reasoned with. The Pack are all dumb retards who can be bullied into submission, and with a strong enough show of strength will probably be loyal. The Disciples are too unpredictable, and Nisha strikes me as the kind of leader who would have you killed for even looking at her wrong. Mason is a dick but respects strength, Mags (who is insanely hot BTW) is similar, but Nisha and her ilk are too dangerous to keep alive.
Honestly I wish you could kill two of the groups, or even have the Minutemen come and help wipe out the raiders.

I feel like if Nisha tried anything against the SS she would just find herself shot dead, regardless I do agree her and her gang have gotta go plus their perk is just absolute fucking garbage compared to the Operators and the Packs' who's perks are both actually pretty busted.

10 years ago, Many A True Nerd released the first episode of his "You Only Live Once" Fallout New Vegas series
Spoiler warning, he actually did manage to complete the entire game + all DLC on one health bar. It was a pretty big deal at the time, and MATN has since released a Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 series as well.

Why is this relevant? Because MATN is doing it again
If you missed it the first time around, here is your chance to experience the whole thing now.
Speaking of which, it's been a good time to watch his channel. Recently, he just completed his Fallout London and Morrowind series if you want to catch them, and he's also going back to his RTS roots by doing a Shogun 2: Total War playthru(his Rome: Total War playthru is one of his best series). I don't normally shill youtubers, but I know good Fallout content creators are rare these days. Good runtime on any Fallout or TES or Total War series of your choosing, definitely a good playlist to put on if you're listening to videos in the background or whatever.

He's good content if you ignore his absolute dogshit opinions on said content most of the time.
His Total War stuff is definitely the better stuff as a result, but with how abysmal most Fallout youtubers are, he's definitely one of the better ones.

Even if he has negative PER, somehow, which makes his One Healthbar runs even more of an achievement.
I'd fucking hope it was greenlit they already made season 1the base game and sold it.

His takes are definitely garbage, but thankfully he saves most of them for his streams(which I do not recommend). For his game playthrus, at least the ones I listed, he usually focuses on the game and keeps the conversation going around them.

I have no clue how he's going to do the new remastered run with melee only, but it seems he has a plan. It's going to have to be a stealth run for the most part, but bad news, stealth is broken in the DLCs. Due to developers not knowing how the engine works, it's pretty much impossible to sneak away from high level enemies like Ghost People or Lonesome Road foes due to them having an ungodly detection radius. This is most apparent in Courier's Mile, where it is quite literally impossible to do stealth and even at 100 Sneak and an active Stealth Boy, the enemies will all know where you are the moment you enter the cell and start running towards you.

Here is a video documenting this phenomenon better
Considering how hard the original playthru was with ranged weapons and mines? Yeah, I doubt it is possible to do Lonesome Road on one healthbar, not because Jon sucks at the game but because it is pretty much impossible to sneak past a certain point in these DLCs, even if you only reach Level 30 max. Enemies at that point are still too tough for this ruleset and there is no way to sneak past them reliably. Same goes for Old World Blues and Dead Money, Honest Hearts is ironically enough going to be easier due to there being an open world, making it easier to avoid enemies if need be.

I genuinely don't care, franchise is dead to me just like countless others. Real Fallout 5 will be Fallout Miami and nobody will tell me differently.

Like i said, one of the better ones as long as you avoid the videos where he rambles on about said takes.

The fun part is, he's aware of this, so i can only assume he's got a plan for that too.
Probably involving Super Slam or some shit, or he's got extra mods installed, like a mod that patches such enemies to have not-looped PER.

He doesn't use mods, aside from ones like JSawyer and I doubt he uses it on this run.
This could have potential to be fun and interesting. Similarly, there were doubts as to if Fallout 4 was even doable due to how radiation works in that game and due to all the combat you have to do.

I'm well aware, but as you mentioned, the Fo4 run already set the precedent of 'bugfixes/bullshit removal is fine'- Infection was removed from the disease rolls for Survival, if i recall correctly.
Come to think of it, i should actually watch to see how that ended, i even downloaded the damn playlist for that purpose. Maybe later.

I don't mind that. Survival Mode in Fallout 4 is very poorly made, but at the same time it does re-balance the game better. It's a mistake that you can't enable the re-balancing without having to enable the survival features, which are poorly hacked together and just aren't designed for this game. Hardcore Mode in New Vegas is much simpler, but at the same time the game was made with it in mind, so it works.

I don't think I would mind it that much if Jon downloaded a mod to fix the stealth issue within the DLCs, I partially did this myself a few years back, plus fixed the absolutely broken pickpocketing system that was already not working properly in Fallout 3 and the devs didn't bother looking into it when developing New Vegas.

In an ideal world we would have a Fallout game actually set in a post-post-apocalyptic setting. Instead we get people living in shacks and wearing dirty clothes because in 200+ years they somehow couldn't rebuild society.
Hard to have clean clothes when the Brotherhood's inbred mole men confiscate your water pump, water heater, and washing machine and disintegrated everyone at the textile mill before confiscating all the machinery.

Fallout 4 was probably the worst because of the settlement system.
I actually kind of dig shit covered farmers with nothing but clothes on their back working the fields all day. This is actually the most realistic scenario Bethesda has written for Fallout, and you will probably see this sort of thing a lot in an actual apocalyptic scenario in the middle of nowhere.
What I do have a problem with is Boston itself, and how nothing seems to have been looted. There is barely any civilization in there, plenty of pre-war stuff just laying around and still usable, and there is a grand total of three major towns in the entire region, and that's only if you count backwaters like Bunker Hill and Goodneighbour as "towns", otherwise you get a grand total of one. I think I'm over the whole post apocalyptic setting, I would rather see the post-post apocalypse that Fallout 2 and New Vegas play around with. Hell, Fallout Nevada takes place BEFORE Fallout 1 and there is more civilization there than in Fallout 3 and 4, which take place 200 years later.

I dunno if this is a joke or not, but Brotherhood doesn't actually care about most menial technology like this. They care more about power armor and weapons or anything high-tech, they don't care if a farmer has a water heater or a washing machine. Veronica in New Vegas even says as much herself. East Coast and Mid-West BOS isn't any different, they just accept outside members and "convince" farmers to give up their food since they can't grow it themselves.
