His world and art direction alone is what helps salvage 3 in my opinion. His death was indeed a major blow

That game was the worst fucking thing to come to Fallout and the fact it hasnt been discontinued yet shows to me there are still too many mfs playing and paying for it.

I notice this trend with game companies, all of them are always chasing the dream of getting that multiplayer "games as a service" product that pretty much ceases the need to keep making new original content and thus they just need to keep adding shit to it. It usually tends to be the death of creativity but its not like the suits give a shit.

It always has been a twinkle in their eyes but I notice that it really began to kick off after GTA Online came out and after it made a fortune (unfortunately still is), the industry has been chasing that sort of cash ever since.

? Dude has been a well known character actor for a long while because of the shield and Tarantino movies.

It's just his Chris Pratt moment where multiple projects he's in hit it big in quick succession.
 
My question is in general, why do normies like the Fallout TV show when it's got extreme levels of retcon and uses shit borderlands tier humor. The clips on the Internet alone disgusts me on a visceral level as it's retarded and people defending it allows dumb shit to continue.

He's a lead in The Shield, Justified, White Lotus, Righteous Gemstones, Predators, Vice Principals, Fallout, and tons of other stuff. His "month" of fame seems to have lasted multiple decades. He's a top tier actor he's just working in Fallout because it's a big name show for a big network. He has no idea that the script is garbage and the show is completely contrary in tone to the original games.

You can't blame the actors for the Fallout show being mediocre. Unless their acting is bad in the show.

Because the executive producers and directors of the franchise don't care either. At this point the people who control the franchise seem to outright hate the actual lore and tone of the original game (and New Vegas). You think Jonathan Nolan has played Fallout 1, 2, or New Vegas to completion?
 
Normie cattle doesn't care about lore or even if the show is good. The media says its good so the masses will think its good. Watched Creetosis latest stream and he said something i thought was interesting. He believe most people who watched the show never actually sat down and watched it. As in he thinks they only had the show running in the background while doing something else. I mean, it would make sense, since the quality of the show is fucking dog shit.

I thought the show was just average with some cool looking scenes and plotlines but the random retcons and inclusions of shit like the Prydwen always took me out for a bit.

It's extremely easy: because Bethesda can't write for shit.

Remember that the Elder Scrolls have in theory decent lore. And then Bethesda takes all the theoretical decent ideas and does the most basic things because they don't have good writers and they cater to the lowest common denominator.

One basic detail of the F1 - F2 -FNV progression is that civilization is re-emerging. What form of civilization is up to the player to choose. In Fallout 1 you had Shady Sands opposed to Junktown (a "new start" contra a "town born from the garbage of the past"). The Master was all in in building a new civilization to avoid the mistakes of the past. F2 had Vault City, the NCR and the struggle to rebuild. FNV .... let's not even start.

Rivers of digital words have been written on the fact that Bethesda does not understand this. For the Bethesda writers the apocalypse happened always a generation ago. One, two centuries may have passed but people will keep living in ruins exchanging bottle caps because the world needs to stay sterile and in a fake-post-apoc-50ies stasis. Because it's easier, because it's what people recognize. The Brotherhood is the most triumphant example: they went from major faction in 1 to minor appearance in 2 to tragic parody of themselves in FNV, but the Bethesda fallouts needs a Paladin/Army equivalent so they resurrected them and made them a center piece. Because Power Armour is what people recognize, and god forbid doing anything else.
