Ironically, the relatively expression-less Odo shows you what you can do if you bother to put in a good performance. My love of House was elevated by growing an appreciation for the actor due to how much of a stand out Odo was in DS9.
I glad they didn't go with the evil grin for House from pre-release screenshots. This is the absolute perfect image to go with Auberjonois' delivery.

Nothing said in the game, to my memory, is worse than the Lucy and Maximus exchange in the Fallout TV show.

Can someone explain to me when the Brotherhood (a closed society that breed within itself and is traditionally opposed to recruit from external sources, and values lineage) became a bunch of retards that hide from grown men basic biology? Aren't Knights supposed to be tech experts and pass basic common training before choosing to become Scribes or well, Knights?

What the fuck is that video and that comment section?

To those defending Outer Worlds, that game really showed me how far Obsidian had fallen and the creatives that made the good games were no longer there. I suppose aggressively mediocre RPG mechanics beats none anyway of the week. If we want in depth RPGs we're going to have to look towards mods and/or Eastern European studios.
Humorously, Outer Worlds' biggest problem behind the scenes is the same reason Fallout 2 sucks ass. Tim Cain's narcissistic faggot ass. He took credit for his team's work when he was a retarded, incapable faggot. Brian Fargo and Chris Avellone are the real reasons Fallout was good, but are ignored because they aren't gay and on YouTube ranting about random bullshit.

Fallout 2 sucks ass? What? I know there is discussion about how it diminished some of the darker elements of Fallout 1 but I'm pretty sure most people acknowledge it was in an upgrade in every other way.

It may be the mechanically superior game, but it's narratively such a downgrade, it's one of the first games to push diversity nonsense down our throats, and it's way goofier. I begrudgingly accept it in the same way I begrudgingly accept 3, 4, 76, and the TV show.

Lucy being turned into an action girl in season two would be weird because in season one she would have died in like five seconds of she wasn't constantly being bailed out by Maximus or The Ghoul.
She was almost murdered in her sleep by a radroach because she slept on the bare ground beside a lit fire instead of one of the numerous abandoned houses. She got saved by Dogmeat, which is also the only reason she woke up at all; that Enclave dude was also watching her sleep which meant anybody could've just snuck up on her and have a consent accident. She's shown to be semi-capable of using firearms (training montage) but her survival skills are zero and given the environment she was raised in and the people she was raised around, there wouldn't even be the seed of such a person within her. Her brother was already "off" prior the raider attack which would make that transformation more plausible. Ideally more time would've been spent on developing her character to make the transition more believable but they wrote 5 concurrent plot threads into the show. (Goggin's past, Goggin's present, Lucy, Maximus, Lucy's brother)

Nolan: "So these Brotherhood guys, what's their deal?"
Emil: *Drawing from the only thing he's capable of drawing inspiration from* "They're like a religious cult."
Nolan: "A cult? Like the-"
Emil: "Like the Catholic Church! Exactly."

Good faith/generous look at it: it's not important to the mission so it isn't taught (which doesn't explain why Maximus uses the worst imagery/terminology possible)
Ungenerous: The semi-religious "vibe" of the Brotherhood just had the showrunners apply certain tropes/cliches to the organisation that you'd see in Sister Act I & II and made them into massive prudes hence why it's not a subject that's broached.

The only way they can really be salvaged is if season 2 reveals that Maximus & the knight he was paired with were just outliers and everyone else is reasonably well turned out. Otherwise my theory is that the Brotherhood aren't actually the Brotherhood and are some kind of sleeper cell Enclave thing who carry out missions on their behalf as the "face" whilst the Enclave is doing shit in the background. It doesn't answer why this Brotherhood saved Maximus then but it could've just been that lone knight taking pity on him or something, or the puppet leadership aren't the same as the regular rank and file. It does effectively turn the Brotherhood into another joke entirely though.

It's weird in hindsight we never saw/learnt of the guy who saved Maximus, but maybe it's just that Indian guy in the trailer or something.

It was the first game to push the LGBTQIALMNOP agenda.
This motherfucker hasn't heard of Gayblade and it shows.

Fallout 2 was the first game in the West (I don't know why this distinction is made, maybe Princess Maker had a lesbian marriage in it or some crap) to feature gay marriage. Maybe they should've kept in that brigade of gays who'll assail you for being heterosexual to even things out, especially since it has remarkable resonance in the present day lmao

I actually have never heard of that before. It shows that gays have long been drooling over the thought of killing normal people.

"Yeah, but you can kill everything you want." is not a selling point for an RPG, It just makes the world feel more alive and interactive, that's for sure. You still need a world people care about to give a shit about completing their playthrough in an RPG
it absolutely is a selling point, knowing that I can pull out a gun, and shoot whoever pisses me off at any moment, having said faggot faction refuse to talk to me, and send people to kill me, only adds to the appeal of this feature.
the amount of games where I wished there was a simple *shoot face* feature is ever increasing

these are Role Playing games right? let me Role Play as a murder hobo god damn it.
I'm already looking through the trash like a feral rat man,
Just let me decide the fate of every minority in town as I dumpster dive.
send the guards, do the whole "doomed timeline" I don't care, just let me have my own story.

Games are inherently an interactive medium, it kills me to hear anyone shoo away interactivity as a feature,
it's uncharted territory on how it can be used to tell stories and create new experiences,
I already know what a good movie looks like, I've read countless CatDog fanfictions I know what a good story is,
interactivity is that X factor so many games are missing today.

It's not a selling point that's going to sell the whole game by itself is what I meant. The outer worlds 1 and 2 has it so the player can kill everyone, but if every NPC is nothing but quirky redditors spouting off Rick and Morty jokes and there's no reason to take the world seriously or invest in it, the game won't sell. There's a reason no one is talking about the second game, it's just a wet fart. It all hinges on the writing. Fallout 4 is a horrible roleplaying game, but a fun game at times because you're railroaded into 2 archetypes based on the sex you pick.

I agree about the interactive part, but we should expect better all-round.

that anger 100% builds up over time
if you don't even have something as small as "shut up bitch" when some NPC is acting up.
it's just going to make you hate the game. you need an outlet for this shit.

why add snark when I can't bite back?
legitimately what is the purpose if the only thing I can say is "ermm ok I guess.."

if every NPC is nothing but quirky redditors spouting off Rick and Morty jokes and there's no reason to take the world seriously or invest in it,
If Outer wilds 2 had a feature where I could torture and slowly kill every character those faggots at obsidian
came up with in my ship like all those warwick davis memes.while having their shitty reddit wholesome rick and Morty companions cry about it the entire time.
I would greatly consider playing it.

imagine a rpg world filled with nothing but Rick and Morty characters , one of them voiced by seth rogan,
and you can kill all of them, that can turn a 2/10 story into a 8/10 easy.
if OW2 could turn into hatred at any moment, Obsidian would be breaking new ground.

No. The ability to kill everyone on the game does not make its NPC's any less irritating to deal with. Nor does that inherently make the game better. I will gladly play FO4 even with its railroading because the NPC's don't make feel like I'm on the front page of reddit.
