Despite the sheer amount of dumb bs in Fallout 2 that the devs regret, if we treat everything devs regret as something to ignore, we'd have to ignore everything related to the Legion and like half of New Vegas because everybody who worked on it seems to look back on it with shame despite it being a masterpiece.

Anyway, apparently Steam has two hidden listings for Fallout games, so people are suspecting we're going to get remasters of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. If true, idk if I'll buy them, but I'm definitely excited to see if the things redesigned for Fallout 4 (robots, vault suits, Nuka Cola bottles, etc.) are supposed to overwrite the Fallout 3 versions (like how FNV made the Vault 13 suit the baggy style) or coexist (like how the Capital Wasteland Super Mutants look different from the West Coast Super Mutants)
Over the last 16 years I have modded Vegas to the extreme. The only way I am buying that remaster is if we have FO4 gunplay, weapon/armor modding, building system and power armor, and even then only if "controversial" elements are not removed looking at you cook-cook and we don't get shit like "body type." Otherwise, I see no reason to abandon my frankenstein.

I think that abandoned shack near Goodsprings is BEGGING to be settled by my BWC (Big Wastelander Cock)

Same reason I'm still sticking with the original Oblivion over the remaster. I already have it tailored to where the game has like 10 times the content of the original, and honestly there are parts of the remaster that looks worse than the original

Also I'm of the opinion that the fallout tv show is just fanfiction, and that Fallout ended with Fallout 4 where the Enclave won and began rebuilding 'Murica

Really funny how there are 0 actual reasons to feel remorse for nuking the institute so all Bethesda does is throw "but you hecking killed people!!" In our face multiple times hoping it works, hell i would argue the railroad massacre is a worse thing to do.

Also why are all the creation club homes basically gta apartments they really didn't make a single home more like the skyrim CC ones that came with collectable display rooms and shit?

It is funny also since 4 is the one that I feel like has least value on life in general, enemies have never been more game-ified in the series.

I'm not saying Raiders or Gunners don't have what's coming to them, but it would've been nice if someone called you out on that like Tobar does in 3.

Just recently played Fallout 4. Feel very looter shooty and I find the settlement and loot for too tedious. Might play it just it again and ignore that part of the game.

I avoid killing npcs if i can in new vegas but in 4 i felt nothing wiping out the institute
Idk, Railroad basically genocides both BoS and Institute.
I just can't siding with the others after a few playthroughts. Minutemen are always my sub-faction.
Railroad are just stupid hippie bitches which loves machines human-skinned as equals.
BoS are basically Enclave with techno-hoarding.

Im only gonna consider buying the remake is if it has the few good upgrades of 4 (the gunplay and weapon/armor modding added onto the base weapons of NV), they would need to keep all the controversial elements that we'll never see in a fallout game again (alongside ideally fixing some of the pozzed shit in the game where the NCR has a diversity quota to meet and makes half the army women and most of them the special forces or officers in the game) , and they would need to restore most/all the cut content and locations planned for New Vegas including the cut content for the legion, the small section of Arizona you were suppose to be able to go to, and the cut content for the independent and Mr House endings/possibilities. It also needs to not require 128gb ram and a 5090 to run at 30fps

So in other words, im not gonna be buying it when it comes out in a few months.

I'm pretty sure only one of them was a confirmed synth, which makes the organization even more retarded.
They should have had a quest about the Railroad replacing the memories of someone who only thinks they’re a synth, like that runaway Asian who’s the player hook for getting into Far Harbor. For all the game goes on about synths being impossible to tell apart if you’re not the Institute, it never actually does anything interesting with the concept.

I cannot believe people look at this and go "yep is this better than vanilla"

Honestly I disagree, I think nuking the institute is fucking retarded if only for all the tech and research you're basically throwing in the garbage.

Murder everyone inside sure, but the stuff in that bunker could power and feed the entire commonwealth if someone who wasn't a saturday morning cartoon villain had control over it. Blowing it all up is dumb.
