Both brothers discussed it in the first episode they were in (before Steven's fat ass went to Houston). She drank and partied a lot and after the resulting divorce, they ended up living with her and she neglected them and let her boyfriends beat them.

So, Steven had a live chat the other night where he called his dad who told him that the apartment owner had called and complained about drug activity at Steven's apartment. The owner also said that the neighbors were complaining about his frequent 911 calls to hospitals to get drugs. Steven admitted that he is hospital hopping and still doctor shopping to try and get pills. Go figure.

I thought from my 600lb life that Dr Now had put him in some database where it would flag him if he tried to get meds in the state of Texas. How is he still getting away with this??

Random question: Does anyone know what the Assanti's father does for work? What kind of income does he make to support his two spoiled and entitled sons? He is reasonably paid whatever the case I would presume, or they are getting some form disability/allowance, Not sure how that shit works in the US.
I would say it is the former as Justin has his own business which was fronted by his dad, and his dad had the availability to travel across the US for a while to see to his kid. I doubt he would be getting a high amount of Disability if he owns a shop which has been in business for a while.

That all depends as to whether or not they check it and whether or not they fall for his act. Remember, he's good at faking tears and ERs are typically stressful and busy places they'll probably sedate him by giving him dilaudid or something and when he says he's feeling much better give him a couple pills as he'll be saying that he's new in town and looking for a doctor.

And next time he calls 911 and he'll ask to be taken to a different hospital.

I'm not surprised he can't kick his pain killer habit, I can't help but notice that all these heavyweight cows can't handle the slightest bit of discomfort, let alone actual, honest, pain.
The very thought of hunger sends them into tantrums about how they're lost in abyss of hunger that only an x-large cheeseburger bacon pizza can pull them from. It makes me think that any physical discomfort would be handled in the same way.
Also the fat man's reward system is always wholly out of balance and you can see this in Assanti when he goes to Dr. Now saying he's been good for a whole week so he should get some pills, and if you enjoy the ADF/Phil subforum you can see in the way he lightly pedals a stationary bike for 20 minutes and then rewards himself with junk food.
They've never experienced hunger, real pain or exerted any effort, so the slightest hint of any of these is met with a wholly disproportionate response.

All this to say it looks like that cancerous body would hurt to lug around, but I wonder, on a normal human scale, how painful it REALLY is.
