Favorite Youtubers?

Gatorbox is one of my recent favorites. It's a mostly gaming channel that does some other stuff on the side (weird unboxing, furry "news", etc). They've appeared on the forums here in the past because of their occasional coverage of lolcows, namely when the host (Draco) does DarksydePhil impressions.

Here's their newest "Your Level Sucks" video, which features DSP, Chris, and Moviebob:

Six channels I don't think have been mentioned:

Theoddone1sout - Does short animations about his life:

Larry Bundy Jr - British Youtuber who makes videos about obscure videogame facts:

Edatlin - Makes various absurdist comedy videos (Hasn't updated in 5 months though):

LazyPillow - Creates various comedy animations:

And two wrestling related ones:

LittleKuriboh - Best known for Yugioh Abridged but also makes a good series called The Mark Remark:

OSW (Old School Wrestling) - A group of Irish guys who review old wrestling events:

I like h3h3 and MillionDollarExtreme a lot. I know that h3h3 is basically just a washed down redditor version of MDE, but I still like them a lot (and they seem to upload a little more frequently)

Well, my list of what I used to watch and/or I still watch.

  • BSC/SGB: I used to watch it a lot, but after a specific member of each group sperged a lot with all the GG and SJW shit I just couldn't watch it anymore.
  • Chuggaaconroy/TRG: Emile is fine by himself and has some informative, yet funny LPs. TRG is mostly for multiplayer stuff (mostly Nintendo related, like Mario Party or NSMB).
  • HCBailly: He does LPs of RPGs, more informative than anything. It makes for a good guide or to get some tips for let's say, grinding drops in FF IV (Steam).
  • ChipCheezum: I mostly watch his "old" stuff (MGR or older). It's pretty fun and very informative.
  • Stonewall008: he post some videos of League of Legends. Mostly are of jungler games and his thoughts on the current state of the jungler and also tips about how to not throw the game with X character or what's a good idea to do when you have certain information (say jungler wasted flash, or smite and he's back in his jungle but weak and you have killing potential).
  • Batman9502: He does various LPs, mostly informative. He also plays some releases (mostly indies I think) after practising a bit, but it's more for showing the gameplay. They're good. He got me into buying Crypt of the Necrodancer, so.

GameSocietyPimps - A gaming channel that isn't as popular as others but the crew behind make some hilarious content.

Soulbrothanumbuh3 - Another underrated channel who is a wizard at voice acting and dubbing.

How has this thread gone for even five pages without mentioning Ross Scott? First and foremost, he did Freeman's Mind, which I think is the best machinima I've ever seen. For those that haven't ever heard of it, Freeman's Mind is a playthrough of Half-Life with narration added (voiced by Ross) that paints Freeman as a desperate lunatic surviving what seems to be the apocalypse by the skin of his teeth. Its hilarity is probably only eclipsed by the seven-year gap (2007 to 2014) that it took to make around ten hours of content.

He also made Civil Protection, a show now on hiatus about two metro-cops in City 17, and is currently in pre-production for "The Movie," which seems to be some sort of medieval mystery. Currently, he maintains a small but ridiculously devoted fanbase, does some of the best obscure game reviews in existence, and does monthly videochats on his Twitch. As of this writing, he's going to do one in two days (July 3.)

Should anyone besides me happen to read this thread, his website is accursedfarms.com.

History Buffs: He reviews films based on historical events, critiquing their historical accuracy. The videos are a little long but they're worth a watch if you're in the mood for a little history lesson.

I'm mostly a "mainstream" YouTube fan. I watch Markiplier, Achievement Hunter/Let's Play, Funhaus and Game Grumps mostly. I'm all about them let's plays (though I usually use them for white noise whilst I do other garbage)

I watch a bit of TL;DR every now and again as well.

TL;DR and Sargon of Akkad - Their videos are very informative and they always bring up amazing points. I can't really say much about them other then I highly recommend them.

Blaire White - Okay, so "who is she" you ask. Well, she's a transgender woman who isn't a SJW. In fact, her videos are directly against them. I also just find her kinda funny. Not THE funniest person out there, but her sass is very charming. (I also recommend Shoe0nHead if you like Blaire's videos)

Joel of Vinesauce - I'm not sure if he should count, but goddamnit, I think he's funny enough. Besides all the dumb memes he has created, his commentary is very entertaining (I especially love it when talks about his dad)

JonTron - Do I really need to say anything? I love him for the same reason the others love him!

I Hate Everything - His videos are very funny and his voice is PERFECT for the tone of them! Nothing else I can say, really.

Ashens - Again, his voice is perfect for his videos. I generally really like the delivery of everything he says. It's just entertaining and oddly relaxing. He needs to lay off the blind bags/boxes though...

Cinema Snob - I like him as opposed to someone like Doug Walker. His humor, although probably not for everyone, just feels a lot more genuine. He more so snarks at movies rather than review them, but there's still a charm in that. He also finds the weirdest, most obscure shit out there (line Fun in Balloonland) which makes his videos more unique.

edit: No longer into JonTron and I haven't seen a Blaire, Sargon, or TL;DR video in a long time. Focusing on politics isn't healthy for me.

Quite a few of the big names listed here. JonTron, Game Grumps, that stuff. Weirdly enough, I was one of the original Markiplier fans. I got into him years ago, back when it was astounding if his videos ever got into six digit views. I haven't really watched any of his stuff since he got huge though.

WoWCrendor and Jesse Cox. I have trouble watching the former though, because every time I do it makes me itch to get back into World of Warcaft and I don't need that in my life anymore.

I was really into TroyHasACamera but they totally imploded and they don't speak to each other anymore.

I hesitate to call Brad Jones a YouTuber since he only uses the site for convenience but his stuff is pretty good. Of TGWTG's "Big Three"--Doug, Spoony, and Brad--he's the only one who's kept a consistent quality (though looking back I've realized Doug was never that funny to begin with).

And of course there's Malukah. She was kind of a flash in the pan with her Skyrim cover but everything else she's done since is gold. One of my favorites is her Cortana fan song.
