Considering that 14BLC wasn't a particularly well-built or even very nice-looking: it's remarkably ugly, for one--if there is a new 14BLC, it would be rebuilt on the same pad. One wonders if once Barb kicks the bucket, if Chris would live in the house alone until he drops dead, where his body wouldn't be found until weeks (if not months) later. My guess is that the payouts from insurance will be lessened once they find out the Horde's presence...and I think that Chris was running far more utilities on the bathroom outlet than just the coffee maker. I think I read he used an power strip?

I found something interesting looking at Michael Snyder's page on the CWCki. Chris actually tried to hit Snyder with his car once before October 28th, on June 6th 2010. It's a good thing the whole incident never went to trial because if it did Chris would be sitting in a jail or a mental institution as we speak.

I didn't see that part. Interesting, is it known whether or not Barb was in the car with him then as well?

For as long as he remembers to pay the mortgage, anyway. Although, apparently it takes quite awhile for a bank to kick someone out when they fail to pay their mortgage.

And the :tugboat: alone won't be enough to cover his living. Not to mention, he may have to pay more monthly for his new house if 14BLC gets rebuilt which it probably will. He can't just live in a house for free and do whatever he wants as long his :tugboat: covers his living expenses. I have to work to provide for myself and he doesn't have to. I still think he's going to end up homeless since there's no way he can live the way he wants forever if he can't get a job.

Barb wasn't with him; and in fact, Chris really should have gotten into worse trouble for that one. Chris went drinking (alcohol btw) and decided it would be hilarious if he had a picture of Snyder to throw darts at. He drove to the GamePlace to get the picture.
This is Chris's story: (it's after fiddle his cats)

Snyder's story is that Chris took a picture of his daughter, he wanted the picture removed and went out there to confront him, Chris bolted and hit him with his car. Chris tried to hit and run (sound familiar), almost hit a woman, and then ended up getting caught by a police officer. The police officer saw the whole thing (according to Snyder) and the only thing Chris got was a ticket/warning and had to have the picture deleted.
As a note, according to comments from Snyder on videos and such, the girl that Chris almost hit was another employee and that his daughter was there with him in the store that day. Chris had taken roughly 3 pictures, one of which was of his daughter (with Snyder cut in half on the side)

QUESTION: would Chris's criminal status have any affect on his tugboat?

(also, i feel like the last half of this thread should probably be split into the appropriate "chris and employment" thread, cause we're all getting pretty off topic here.)

Not really. Chris wants more money, you get money by working a job, hence our current line of discussion.
I disagree, but ultimately whether or not we are off-topic is a decision for one of the resident sperg-wranglers, so i'll drop it.

If he's incarcerated for 30 or more consecutive days, he will lose his tugboat.

Would anything Chris HAS done or will do influence how much money he gets from house insurance? I don't think his criminal status would... but maybe if he posted something on facebook about what really happened or anything like that? Anyone here a home owner's insurance company expert?

OH another question for the experts. Chris claims he's going to be housed for months while the house is being remodeled and fixed... how long will the actually house Chris and Barb? And I'm also assuming that if Barb or Chris were to start causing problems by either hoarding or running people over in the neighborhood, State Farm would stop paying for them maybe? Or maybe not? I guess my overall question is this: would it be possible for Chris/Barb to do something that would make State Farm say "we're done paying for your stay at ___________. you have to cover yourself until your house is done" or for them to cut back on how much they will pay into the remodel?

I wonder if Wendy's practices a "trial period" at the beginning of any new employment, making it clear that they can ditch you for "not fitting in" within the first x days.
Most businesses do. Some places have "at will" employment, which means they essentially don't have to give you a reason when they decide to fire you, bullshit though that may sound.

The best part of that story is that Chris went drinking, and then thought it was okay to get in a car.

No, of course he wasn't actually drunk. He probably had like half a bottle of budweiser. But he believed he was drunk, and thought it was okay to drive. Because that's his excuse - "it was okay for me to pick a fight with Snyder, I didn't know any better because I was drunk at the time."

What an asshole.

You gave a beautiful interpretation of this event in Asperchu Mr. Leary. That and Sonichu's assault on PVCC. Sorry off- topic, but had to say it.

VA has at will employment. I'm suprised he lasted more than a few days.

I think his manager found it pretty apparent that he wasn't mentally "all there" and just let him try and work one of the few jobs he could handle. Probably felt sorry for him.

I don't think he expected the guy to be quite so bad, to say nothing of the creepiness.

I know a guy, he's almost 44 and has been a 2 hour/day janitor at a big box sporting goods store for something like 12 years. Before that he was unemployed save for odd jobs from his AA buddies. Like Chris, his entire world happened from 1989-1992 when he was in the Navy. They kicked him out because he was too dumb to actually do his job. He was essentially a plane cleaner, checking the tires and wiping the windshield. He is Chris, if Chris would get off his fat ass and do something. I mean, this guy basically is one step above but he scored Chris's dream: a caretaker-wife. He married a women 6 or 7 years older with a decent job. He can and does sit on his ass, watch cat videos and TV while she works. He can go to his 2hr/day job to clean bathrooms and live the dream. His latest ambition in life: work at Starbucks. It was a big move for him judging from his Facebook. He didn't get the job though.

She's bought him all manner of toys too.
Sorry for derailing the thread, but I want to hear more about this guy. What is his saving grace?

1. He served in the Navy for 4 years, which many people couldn't do. (at least he lasted that long)
2. He has a job that he's kept for over a decade.
3. He has a wife, and has stayed married for a long time.
4. He has some ambition, as demonstrated by his attempt at the Starbucks job.
Not a badass by any means, but much better than Chris.

Not exactly what I was asking, but...

This. Why does she support a man who only works two hours a day? What does he have to offer?
