I don't suppose renting furniture is a smart idea in Chris' situation is it?

Re:Rental Furniture

I inferred that State Farm was setting up their rental furniture or their temporary housing.

Rented furniture?? I'm not sure the people who rented it to the Chandlers will want that furniture back when they find it covered in grease, infested with whatever bugs are infesting Barb, and of course :briefs:

I read it as State Farm was taking care of the house but not the furniture. Either way I don't see them being in returnable shape. Joking aside I just don't see the two of them as the type to take care of their things.

Send me more stuff and things. Thank you.

Anyone else assume they'll only be renting 1 bed for the two of them?
I would imagine a two bed house would be the standard response in these situations, but that does beg the question, will Barb allow Chris some privacy?

Also, I hate to seem negative, but the insurance seems to be doing it's job, the tugboat is still coming in, so why exactly does he need more stuff?

Someone should send Chris a Keurig as a housewarming gift.

Where did Chris get the idea that gift cards are something you should expect from people's charity?
Poor upbringing, untreated autism compounded by said upbringing and isolation, :stupid: , and his psychotic bitch of a mother?

So are they actually moving back or is Barb just keeping up the lie to stop Chris from freaking out?

He needs more money because he's going to spend all of the :tugboat: on video games and toys.

Credit where credit's due: Chris is asking politely and maturely for donations from those who chose to help him during his time of need. It shows a measure of growth, and I'm proud of him for that.

We should encourage this kind of behavior if we expect to see more of it.

"Financial up and down
By down I mean I STILL can't buy a ps4!"

Enjoy the little lavishness while it's still left Chris.

Although I agree with the general sentiment, Chris shouldn't need to be bribed to behave civilly.

He's had his donations from some extremely generous people, and like I said earlier, the insurance is providing accommodation and he still gets the tugboat, so why does he need more?
Remember Chris' idea of being "not financially well off" is fairly questionable. If he's that strapped for cash, he can flog some of the gaming paraphernalia he's salvaged from the house.

He's showing appreciation? I'm actually kind of floored by that. Is anyone else kind of curious to see if what's been sent already is being used on necessities (and I mean shit that they actually need) or on things to keep Chris entertained/Hoard v2.0? I think I KNOW the answer to that, but damn it, I'm trying to be optimistic.

Only time will tell.

It so obvious that he keeps asking for target and walmart cards so he can waste them on Horde shit. Usually after a disaster, the best thing is to get grocery giftcards, since a gorcery also sells toiletries, etc. Usually people volunteer to cook and take over meals, but we all know about Barb and Chris' talent for making friends.

To be fair, both Target and Wal-Mart sell groceries. I buy the vast majority of mine at the Target down the street.
