I kind of liked Sonic Generations, actually. It's pretty solid.

Colors is pretty decent, actually. Aside from possibly the Sonic Advance games, it's definitely the best 21st century Sonic game after Generations.

One thing I didn't think of earlier was the fact Chris is boycotting the game, not the franchise.
Chances are the game is done and made, but Chris's ramblings on Facebook will cause the developers to recode Sonic, causing them to push back the release date. Pissing off a few fans is worth making sure your game comes out right before Christmas.

Chris has no leverage in this argument anyway, because Sega's not interested in his approval. They need to sell video games to kids and that's Mario's market nowadays. They made a new cartoon to introduce Sonic to a new generation, and that show will get a video game tie-in. Chris will watch the show and play the game like a good little autistic. Well you also have to parse what Chris is saying. What he means is, "I am boycotting this Sonic game. Yes, I will buy it. Yes I will get all of the DLC. Yes I will masturbate to it, with it, and on it. But I am boycotting it." He can't not have it.
