Chris was informed of the car wreck, injuries, and those involved in Barb's recovery. I don't think, outside of contact with Barb, he would have access to this information? I could be wrong but who would tell him and with that much detail— And it not being made up bullshit to fuck with him? I feel like it was telling that he also requested that this knowledge not be shared directly, only summarized by Kengle.

I'm more focused on the amount of detail. I don't see why his attorney would go out of his way to find out who is helping Barb (she wasn't in like a coma or anything, presumably could speak for herself just fine, so on) while she was on the mend and pass that on? I don't know, not really my area of understanding, but if his attorney did provide that information wouldn't it be more concise? I also feel like it lends more credibility to Chris' later panic about Barb's lack of responsiveness to contact, and requesting a welfare check.. If they hadn't been talking, wouldn't that been something he brought up significantly earlier?

Usually mental hospitals limit the items a patient brings with them, and there's a very small window to being called in line for breakfast.
With the six-month continuance, I'd see him still in the hospital drawing away.

Long term hospitals are usually pretty strict with just what the patients can do and are often divided by how much support they need from the staff. Chris likely isn't with the violent residents or the ones that are considered at risk (but we don't know just how his mental state is after jail).

Some have their layouts divided by security/ care levels. Patients with violent tendencies towards the staff are given different treatment procedures compared to the ones that hurt themselves. The violent suicidal ones get the most care (I recall a young man that acted normal a good chunk of the time but would end good week by trying to slam his head into a table and breaking multiple bones in his face). Ones violent towards staff don't get the softest treatment and tend to be isolated more but more experienced staff babysit them. These are the patients that will act normal and then decide to punch the employee coming to take them in for rec time.

If Chris isn't in either of those areas, his life could be similar to that of a school kid (one very funny resident compared them to dorms). The staff around him are likely a mix of nurses (who are usually spread out between a large number of patients and don't give them much individual focus) the assistant/ aids (who are underpaid/ overworked and likely didn't have medical backgrounds or are students there for experience). Fatty would get medication, counseling, quiet time, taken for exercise, meals, recreational activities, and doctor rotations.

But this was all pre-covid and there is a very good chance that there are special rules for Chris thanks to his infamy and charges. Depending on how delusional he has become he could be on different med trials or coloring with crayons (if staff allows it).

I wonder if this made him tard rage to the point of sedation? When Chris was first jailed after the Snyder hit and run, he demanded to see Barb. Now, I'm not so sure since Chris cares so much for material possessions, and he didn't see what he did to Barb was wrong.

If he pulled this in jail it would be hilarious. In jail, they don't give a fuck that he's crazy, in fact it will 100% make them more likely to fuck with him. If he went into hedgehog defense mode, and gave CO's the silent treatment when they were entering his cell they would assemble a 5 man "extraction team" pepper spray him through the door, then rush him. He still has nightmares about elementary school when they recorded him flopping around on the ground like a fish autistically screeching, he would be forever broken if he got his face mashed into a cold cement jail cell floor while power hungry rednecks gave him cheap shots in the ribs while hand cuffing him for refusing to comply to officer's orders.

You're assuming that Barb is all there mentally. Last few years or so she always had that "deer in the headlights" look about her when Chris put her on camera and didn't seem to be lucid. So part of me even wonders if she knew what was going on when Chris was raping her.

And if she's got dementia, which she probably has at least a touch of, then could it be that she's forgotten it all and is just wondering why her baby boy isn't around anymore?
