Can you believe it took raping his own mother to get him put away. It wasn’t eating his own sperms, harassing business, stalking women, or even punching Barb. Nice GIF, but unless you're in a 3rd world shit hole, most asylums look like hospitals with nothing but lunatics in private rooms. Sometimes teenagers do have roomates, but they're watched closely.

Here's a short list of places he might be at:
4 places on this list can be ruled out:
Poplar Springs Behavioral Health, Petersburg, VA –United Health Systems- private psych facility for kids 11 to 17
Kempsville Hospital, Norfolk, VA –UHS private psych facility for kids 11 to 17
North Spring Behavioral Health Hospital, Leesburg, VA –UHS private psych facility for kids 11 to 17
Piedmont Geriatric Hospital, Burkeville VA-65 and over set-Chris might want to go here, but won't be

Asylum used to be like that. I wish they still were.

Reethan Mouth knows what's happening. Then again Efame has been a extra delusional since he got rolled in Portugal.

Coming from somewhere familiar with medically working with inmates, I would imagine that if he were placed in an acute care hospital (for example, the Inova hospitals in northern Virginia) he would still be listed as an inmate of CRVJ because:
1. They would have to send guards from CVRJ to the hospital each shift to guard them. They would still have to be listed on the CVRJ roster in order to make sure that the appropriate guards were staffed for their hospital stay.
2. Being in an acute care hospital would only be considered a 'temporary' stay, removing them from the CVRJ roster could potentially risk them being 'lost in the system'.

I understand that (at least, in the state I'm located, and even in states I've practiced) it takes *several* months in order to get someone into a state-run hospital for several reasons (de-institutionalization has equaled less available beds, determination of appropriate care for the patient, etc.). Chris has been in jail for roughly 7 months now, give or take a few days, it's very likely that the ball has been rolling to try and get him into a forensic care unit since his arrival to the jail, and we're just now seeing the final result of that. If his letters are an indication of how he's acting on a daily basis towards the guards/courts/medical staff, they likely have more than enough information logged to get him in.

However, if he *was* just transferred to another jail, I wouldn't be surprised if the transfer info gets posted to VINE within the next couple of days once he is processed.

It's quite obvious at first glance that Chris probably belongs in some sort of facility, it's very possible that this could have been in the works behind the scenes for months to transfer him there, and Chris might have heard something about an upcoming transfer hence his recent prayers that he was getting out of jail, only thing is he expected he would be transferred home instead of a facility

The Gunt is going to institutionalize himself to get that interview with Chris. Killstream coming live to you from the psych ward.

Defense attorneys deal with people worse than Chris on a daily basis. Plus getting Chris off on an insanity defense is going to give Heilberg some bragging rights.
You don't "get off on an insanity defense". You don't want to ever end up not guilty be reason of insanity. It's far worse than being found guilty most of the time. You end up in a worse place than prison, usually far longer than any sentence you would have received, with less freedom.

Isn't that the entire plot of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"?

Yup, insanity plea isn't a "get out of jail free", quite the opposite, you're often housed until you're considered no longer a danger to yourself or others, and that's often longer than what your sentence might have been if you were found guilty.

With regards to the conditions there, knowing that Chris has a deep seated fear of people with low-functioning autism and other mental ailments, Chris will be in his own personal hell being surrounded by such people, even if the facility is somewhat safer and more comfortable than prison.

It'll be like that time he had to take the short bus to high school, only worse.

Fun fact: That is the only way to incarcerate people until they gracelessly expire in Germany.
