My cousin has down syndrome and she works in a factory. My brother has autism and works at Wendy's. If they can contribute in some small way to society then Chris has no excuse
It wouldn't be a sponge factory by any chance, would it? (Jk lol).
This is something that could have been sorted out a lot better for Chris had he been put in Special Ed like he should have been. The ones at the school i went to had programs that helped special needs kids find workplaces that they could adapt into, given their related conditions.
Though, Im not sure how developed the Special Ed programs were in the 90s, or whether or not there has been a large amount of difference made to learning structures within those systems.
Hell, I recently saw a news story about autists working for some kind of coupon printer (?), checking for errors and editing and shit.
Chris also has an associates, and yeah they probably pushed him out of there to get him out of PVCC, but he still took classes and was able to "design" sites. Of course what he learned is probably obsolete by now.
