There are most certainly autistic people that have a similar set of autistic traits like Chris (some maybe even worse), for example being an extremely self centered person, having very childish habits and mannerisms and not understanding social cues with people outside your immediate social circle, however they are completely diluted in an absolute sea of autism and filled with depraved junk underneath layers of internet communities and cliques scattered across websites, they are all basically hard to spot in a way since they all kind off blend together, some are genuinely slow in the minds, some are roleplayers, some are just larping, some are hidden trolls and others are bots.

But what sets some of those people apart from Chris was that he was a very extreme outlier in this pre internet trolling transition phase, he found himself in the wrong sort of circumstances to be born in, his parents had him when they were way too old to safely have a child, he lived in very rural Hicksville type place and never left that area searching for greener pastures and was pretty much coddled as Barb's play thing, he grew up where people's values and prejudices surrounding people with learning disabilities was very different from today's standards (but not exactly hostile as wat people like Bob thought), he wasn't able to express himself properly irl in most cases (aside from vising the game place and pony/gaming conventions),the online community (and trolling) phenomenon was very alien to people who had the same type of temperament as Chris and he personally hadn't worked in a stable job for the majority of his adult life and mucked around like a complete bum, almost living a neets childhood fantasy, something that today's recipients on SSI/SSDI would almost dream of.

He truly will be immortalised as one of the most documented fuck ups in human history, yes a lot of things happened at no fault but his own but once you understand the greater context about his life and the set of circumstances he found himself in, it would be impossible to replicate another Chris Chan version 2, you won't find many people in life having the track record that Chris has had, not many people on the farms come even close, I'm sure you would know @Duke Nukem considering how long you've been around.

Do we know why the trolls picked Ohio of all places for where Julie was supposed to be from? I'm wondering if they intentionally picked a dangerous neighborhood or if they just threw a dart at a random location that would likely be a pain (and huge waste of time/money/gas) for Chris to get to. I have no clue why they sent Chris to Ohio but to say they accidentally sent him to the worst part of Ohio would be completely untrue. I mean if you were going to look up some place to send Chris and for some reason you picked Ohio most likely you not being a person that's from here would pick the capital Columbus because that's the most obvious choice. So not only did they pick a city that's lesser known but then they picked an area in that city that is considered one of the worst ghettos. I know some people are joking around and saying he would not get robbed or carjacked or anything but it's screwed up on so many levels because there was still that chance. I think it can't be overstated that Chris won the genetic lottery for trolling.

He is very clearly more than just autistic, in combination with all the previously mentioned environmental factors, I think the biggest factor in his trolling and ironically in his upbringing is he looks relatively normal. If Chris had the stereotypical retarded look, along with the other factors that influence social interaction such as a speech impediment, Chris would likely not be the subject of the attention he has received. I guarantee if he just looked as if he had down syndrome, Bob wouldn't be fighting to keep him out of special education.
