Since there's basically no FGC left maybe we should play on fc sometime if you have an alt to burn there in the event you don't want to power level.

I'll start going on there as "KF-SSF2TOldUser" in case anyone wants to play me.

Honestly, I had an idea about setting up a little KF FG Group or something since FGC is shit now. Like we could gather in KF's Riot Server instead of using Discord and then just have like our own tournaments or something on FightCade, especially since FightCade 2 is in the works on a HUGE update. Everyone could register a new username on FightCade and put "KF-" next to it so it'll be easier to tell who is who.

That was some beastly Claw play, if you're measuring against pros and say you fall short I'm assuming that's in regard to more recent games or you're comparing with the very best of OG jp goers because those were some very slick frame traps. You even beat some of the Damdai anti airs. Might not be a poor prospect to try what you're suggesting for people here if others are down to play with you.

I do have to admit that I'm never a fan of forward+H grab, or however you say it. I'm much more fond of button combination grabs like in SF4

I'm going to dip out and stop shitposting since I left most of my points of interest across these two threads but if they all play like him I'd probably get more out of sets with KFers and from studying the resulting replays than actually playing with the PGC anyway. Quite unlikely they're all that solid but yeah. I'm thinking I had to be blocking the slides closer to have the frame advantage and distance to punish with c.mk or something. st. rh as pre-emptive anti air and crouching jab to deal with the wall dive were newfound observations I'd like to use purposefully if situationally, if at all possible.

Kinda wish this was how the FGC was in real life ala 2004 again, disparate connections between individuals only there to play. No concern for one's past and hopefully not in underaged ass either, just good info learnt and shared and sets clocked. And next to no fucking kids in attendance anyway because who even wants to play vs the atrophied rotting almond in their 14 year old skulls. Not that they can't be good but it's not like they even need to be around and playing, it is just my hot take that I preferred the less sterile and filtered community of yore though.

This is true for the most part. For me it's rare to find someone on the same skill level as I am, because I'm stuck in that middle area of being too good for n00bs, and too much of a scrub for pro players. So when I actually do find someone within my level, I enjoy those matches more than every other match I've had (especially when the other fighter DOESN'T use a shoto)

Also your boss story sounded pretty cool. Every job I've worked at never had people that were into video games in general, and the ones that were only liked First Person Shooters or the usual normalfag shit like Fortnite.

To be fair, most players who have played for years are stuck in that "middle" level and the difference between a pro-level player and mid-level one can be really small, so a lot of objectively really good players can be stuck in the upper mid-level of play because they just don't have that certain inexplicable something that pros have.

The Alpha series was even more busted. Although fun. A1 was shit. A2 was good but Chun, Ken and Gief raped everyone. A3 pretty much everyone had an infinite.

His entire legacy is built on the concept of being arguably the only player of his debut era to actually study things like hitboxes, frame data, etc. You have to be a perfectionist and figure out as many ways as you can to narrow down the ways the pace of a game can go, it's not as based in talent as people would make you think.

Everything is enough to get cancelled these days. If you can get cancelled for being an autistic sperg, you can get cancelled for being a dick to you "adoring fans" and not being "upstanding role model"

That's why I liked when SonicFox (let that be the one time) told his fans, "You guys actually suck at the game," while he was making a tier list for MK11. It at least shows that these dudes couldn't care less about their fans in regards to the main reason why said fans show up to watch them.
