Xenosys won a 5 figure defamation lawsuit against Lionel/Desolance/Howard Moon

https://www.reddit.com/user/Desolance1279 (banned)

Howard is a schizo ff player who has been posting endless rants about Xenosys for months. Apparently legal action was taken and Xeno has won this case - full video on what happened to come soon.

The tl;dr breakdown is everyone here is retarded, but Howard was unable to contain his schizo sperging. Back in 2017, Howard allegedly posted some pictures in a discord that had to do with ongoing Xeno drama. Xeno kicked the guy and told him to fuck off. Apparently Howard didn't post these, so Xeno invited him back. Howard continued to sperg about this, so Xeno kicked him again.

Since then, for nearly 7 years now, Howard has been making schizo rant videos about Xeno and some other xiv streamers. Some of his points are actually valid, but it's drenched in so much schizo babble that it's painful to listen to. He's the type of guy to sperg about Xeno doxxing his family because someone in Xeno's discord did a public records search on them.

Here's him sperging out just last month over drama that happened years ago where Xenosys was called out for having a slumber party with an 18 year old

I didn't realize Xeno had a lawsuit out and it looks like this has been behind closed doors. Very curious to see the details on this, sorry if I got anything wrong here.
Good, now Tithead can sue that Raijin faggot for his schizo twitter posting about the same drama.

From what I understand, it was a default judgment.

Also, apparently Xeno was talking to a 17 year old and then started dating her when she was 18. I don't know/care about the details any further than that, but no one really looks all that great.

I was gonna post this but the forums were fucked up last night.

Source on the default judgment? That would make way more sense to me so I believe it.

From what I've gathered she was 18 when they first started hanging out and talking, though it was very close to her 18th birthday so it's debated. I could be wrong as the drama is so gay I haven't done a deep dive. It's a bad look no matter what, but I do think it's a far cry away from the outrage this event generated.

I wonder what Moon did that escalated it beyond Raijin - I believe there's a case from xeno on that too, but I haven't heard an update on that in a few months. I assumed this video was going to be about Raijin originally.
My enjoyment of the game improved by leaps and bounds the minute I stopped paying attention to NN, or used NN as a way to try and stealth troll if I was bored. It's hard, because you can't do the WoW method of mentioning [current event] in Trade Chat and ghosting. It's tough and honestly isn't worth the effort 99% of the time.
NN is only good for trolling, it's a cess pool of people who think they are Gods at the game but can't even do UWU and faggots talking about the most inane bullshit imaginable. I'd honestly take the latter, but inevitable the Type 1 NN chatter will scold people into keeping NN game related.

Best thing to do is speedrun crafting mentor on an alt and mention that you did that in NN and watch the fireworks go. People lose their mind over their precious chat being poisoned by people who, to them, don't deserve it. I might even agree if it wasn't so funny to watch them sneed over it.

(I will say, I've been playing in OCE with some Aussie friends and their NN is actually nice. Honestly, almost everyone on OCE is nice, would recommend)

I bought my 1st mountain dew for the promotion. A lot of people were telling me that mountain dew tastes like gasoline (I don't think it's that bad) and telling me that my kidneys will fail and that I'll get diabetes. But like..the thing is...

I'm hypoglycemic lol.

I was told never to waste things I spend money on, I dunno how people can just pour it down the drain. At least take a picture of the cap and then close it back up as best as you can and leave it out, someone is bound to take it.

Don't know how it is on other servers, but on mine, they're capable of answering basic questions; like "How do I become a Dark Knight?" I've yet to see anyone talk anything about Savage content that wasn't "Mount farming old Savage content." Most game related talk is people going through MSQ, but begging for unsynched clears; everything else is sex, gender, and hot guys, and other gay shit. You can't even fucking troll because you know what kind of person they are and you will wind up in jail.

I'm on Crystal, if you ask the DRK question you're going to get 3 spergs immediately tumbling over themselves to out mentor the other one. You'll get the answer, but it's a 'well aktually' competition anytime a question is raised. I'm guilty of this as there are so many time people will give a straight incorrect answer to a question with unfounded confidence. There's way less questions than there is vagueposting venting or petty drama though; there was like a 2 month saga where people would say "meow" in NN and everyone would seethe about it, it's truly a retarded chat.

As for trolling, you can't be rude, but you can make an alt and, say, plead a case for free cure spam. Plenty of ways to entertain yourself if you get creative!

I used to love Mountain Dew. I still do like lemon lime flavored sodas, but I try not to drink soda if possible. My problem is I gave up one sugary drink for another because I down sweet teas. I'm thinking I might buy a couple, drink one myself, and see if some of the people at work want one. Normally I detest microtransactions and having to pay for mounts, but I'm a little more forgiving with promotional mounts because at least you are getting something real out of it. For some people I'm sure they would've bought soda anyways and this is a bonus. The amazon mounts I bought game time to get it. It's the charging $22+ for a cool mount because fuck you pay us that I think we all need to name and shame.

I went on a quest to find the purple mountain dew, it was palatable.

You know the hilarious thing is that I've also tried to find other flavors and each trip I make to the store to grab some basic stuff, I go to get a bottle and their stock seems to be dwindling faster than I remember.
It's got me sitting here wondering if everyone in my neighborhood just really likes mountain dew or if I'm surrounded by more ff14 players than I realize.
Tbh, getting a recolored zu mount isn't a big deal, I'd rather they did something more unique but eh...I need the soda and getting something extra is better than nothing regardless of the side eye I'll get for flying around on that thing.

You just gotta be really nice and get people to talk more about themselves. I derailed the whole chat into hell multiple times but it's just because I'm so friendly and really interested about this whole "furry" thing.

Meanwhile in JP nobody even talks on NN. It's what I miss most about NA servers.

Okay so I finally got around to making a mountain dew gaming account to redeem a code (because if I didn't do it now, I never will). Took less than a minute.
1 bottle of 20oz mountain dew gives you 100 points only from specifically marked bottles. There is no other way to get points other than the 20oz bottles. If you manage to snag the purple, orange or yellow flavors, you get 200 points instead since they are considerably harder to find than the more common flavors. The in game stuff you can redeem is reasonably priced. The mount is the most expensive being only at 600 points meaning you just have to chug through 6 bottles of mountain dew to have enough. The other in game items are just pots of metallic green, blue and yellow dye at 200 points and the sparkling refreshment (whatever tf that is probably something like the realm reborn red or just a consumable food) at just 100.

Now the physical items is where things start getting dicey. A good chunk of ff14 themed merchandise is sold out already. I wouldn't be able to tell you how much they cost as once they're labeled as out of stock, you can't see how many points they were worth. Honestly speaking, if they sold out that fast, they probably were not that expensive. The physical items don't have any special mountain dew branding on them (except the cooler and tote bag). Just seems like it's official merch pulled straight from SE.

They have ff14 themed hoodies and sweats that cost 20k points each. And no, it's not a set. You have the buy the hoodie and the sweats separately.

You can also get a physical collector's box edition of either endwalker or dawntrail for the same amount of points.
The big thing offered is the steam decks. They have 2 versions, a white pictomancer themed one and a black viper themed one. They are the most expensive out of everything at 25k points.

So if you want one of the steam decks, you'd have to burn through an astonishing 250 20oz bottles of mountain dew.

Probably more healthier to just shell out money for the rest of this stuff and buying it directly than tank your health and get them in such a roundabout way. The FOMO is really not worth it. Just drink your 6 bottles and never touch this again.

Addendum: Currently you can only redeem the mount once per account. But there is no specification if the mount is account wide or not. If it's anything like previous collab mounts, it probably is most likely only restricted to 1 character so keep that in mind if there's a friend outside of the US that you want to get a mount for. As of right now, the mount can't be redeemed at all until EA begins for dawntrail on June 28th. So you can drink your 6 bottles, sit on the points and then just redeem them then.

Yeah, i'd take retard chat over no chat anyday. OCE has the nicest NN, I have never seen anything but people being helpful there. It's probably because, without it, you're never getting some of queues to pop. Never played on JP so can't comment there.

So a couple funny updates:

Lala life: started a lala alt on Dynamis for the fuck of it. I originally played a lala a few years back, but never got far. Road to 80 buff on new servers is amazing, I cut through ARR, HW and SB in a couple weeks (skipping everything) and leveling several jobs to boot. I'd make a comment about how all lala players are creeps but honestly they are the meme race for a reason. It's also just funny to see my tiny potato person down demigods and monsters while sounding like dog chew toy.

Diabetes Bird: I bought some Dew myself for the bird. Shit's gross, used to drink it a lot when I was in school. Gifted it all away, but got the mount on lock.
Don't feel bad, I copped it too since Ark is so dope even if it is technically just a reskin of the Cruise Chaser mount.
Well if we're being totally fair, Cruise Chaser was just a reskin of Ark in the first place for the Alex raids so... we come full circle.

Can say, I'm fond of FF9 as well. I am going to be holding off on getting DT for a while; I want to wait and see the actual reviews and reactions of the expansion first, admittedly, as some of the story previews... didn't impress me. That said, the gameplay does look interesting, and I do hope this expansion turns out to be good.

Here's hoping!
I'm not expecting DT to be some colossal story that puts the GOAT that is Shadowbringers to shame, or even come close to it. But at least Yoshi-P has said that it's meant to be a reprieve story, something to help transition from the Zodiark story to whatever is to follow. And as someone who has dabbled in writing, I can understand that. You can't just hop from one thing to another, you have to give it time to breathe before moving into the next thing.

Fantastical, wishful sperging follows:
Dawntrail could totally be a fun fluff expansion. In fact, I almost hope it is the story/gaming equivalent of cotton candy: simple, traditional fun with characters we've come to know over the course of the last X amount of years. Really it would be the end of DT, or the post-game, that would set up the next story arc. And personally, I'd like for the WoL to be brought back down to earth, with some shenanigans about losing the blessing of light because Hydaelyn is gone, so that they can effectively "reboot" the power levels. Kinda hard to go from creation-ending abominations like Zodiark, Endsinger and Zeromus to what? Normal monsters in another nation?

More than the narrative, I just really hope what Yoshi-P said at the last livetalk is that true, and that they're looking to raise the ceiling of jobs from the homogenization they've put themselves in. Whether that's through FF11 style subjobs or something else, I just want there to be a reason to play jobs outside the three roles to fill.
