So apparently there’s healers that are planning to go on “strike” (some articles words not mine) when dawntrail drops because some faggot streamer cleared the first dawntrail dungeon without any healers. Once again, the FFXIV community proving to be insufferable.
These healers sound like losers, and I will enjoy healing in their place.

Boo fucking hoo, play a job that does something then. On God, healer mains are the most entitled fuckwits in this game. They hate any content they have to actually try in.

Maybe all the based healers will keep playing for awhile while all the troons leave. I wouldn’t mind. They can go on their little strike if they want.

Or they need to just go outside and talk to some real people.

Single pulling a dungeon, which probably has reduced mob damage specifically so that the retards who would "report" on it wouldn't bitch about it being too hard. The dungeon itself is kinda meh though. EW's first story dungeon had better mechanics (and also hit *way* harder, same with ShB).

"Warriors can heal too good, I'm taking my tarot cards and going on strike!" - some shithead nobody cares about

To be fair, these healers would probably die every boss and the tank would have to carry the DPS through the rest of the encounter anyway.

So I ask: what's the least cringe race to y'all?
Hyur, you're a basic human, and people will think you're retarded for being so vanilla.

JoCat definitely needs a thread; but being super pro trans and otherwise insufferably hetero (yeah, right) doesn't feel like enough. For now, I'm expecting him to troon out and get crazy eventually.

I knew off the rip this was gonna happen after Xeems posted that video. This isn't the first time healers tried to organize a "strike", they tried to pull this shit when a group cleared TOP without healers. It didn't work then and it probably work now. I'm not striking even though I play every healer in the game currently because I think it's retarded to punish everyone because you're unhappy with something. A large majority of people don't care and only the whiny, loud mouthed minority want to cry a river just because one of the top players in the world cleared a dungeon without a healer. "healers aren't needed" is a fucking retarded sentiment considering how literally every time I queue to do content as a healer, I end up having to drag my mangled shitter party through everything because believe it or not, avoiding an AOE is too difficult for a lot of people. Not everyone can clear content without a healer and they act like it's common for people to just not bring healers even for casual stuff. If a group of friends want to run content for fun to see if they can do it without healers, let them. What they do is none of anyone's business. The whole strike thing is super gay.
My performance as a healer is bad enough that people think I’m on strike when I’m actually trying my best
You do it long enough and eventually it'll become second nature to you. It's actually quite fun when you have to actually heal. I think the problem with healers isn't that they don't have a dedicated damage rotation, it's that they don't have enough opportunities to do their job which is to heal.

I'm really annoyed that Xeems started this shit show because he wanted to flex but in a small way, it's probably good for something like this to be posted. If only someone could post something where they clear content only with healers. Oh wait! Someone already has! Only all dps and tanks didn't go on strike because they felt like they weren't needed. People whining about the state of healers are too overdramatic.

I recently had to solo the goth reaper mannequin as gunbreaker because the healer I got died to her scarecrow attack. Took forever but it probably would've been faster instead of letting myself die, running all the way back only to have the healer die again.

I don't think he's big brained enough to start this "drama" (lol) on purpose. The fact that healers could be made redundant in normal content has been known for a long time now, so it seems like some habitual floor tanks finally got to see what's up.

From what I'm told this little feature is for the Japanese audience. Apparently it's in bad taste to unfriend someone, so this way you can remove people from your friends list, but it wont alert the other person that you've done so and hurt their feelings. How true this is I can't say, but knowing how much Japan prioritizes politeness and saving face I can believe it.
Ah yeah, I remember hearing something like that. Really sucks, I just want to be able to remove the trannies from my friend list and have me vanish from theirs.

On normals you're always caught either:

1. You alternate between two healing spells and honestly you probably don't even have to bother.
2. Retards are feasting on vuln stacks like it's My 600-lb Life and nothing you do will keep them up.

On higher difficulties it's more fun.

In slightly less mainstream community drama news: RathGames, noted soloer of FF14, has announced in his Discord that he and his long-term GF Melvina have broken up. Melvina is a moderator on his channel and a frequent guest on-stream. Whatever agreement they came to, it appears she still gets to be a mod in his discord and promote her own streams there.

Announcement earlier today:

Her talking about moving back in with her parents prior to the announcement and needing to stream to support herself:

Imagine having to heal as a healer. Almost as insane as tanking on a tank.

If they want to go all in on everything is DPS like GW2 then just commit to it. Right now we have the worst of everything. It makes grouping harder because you have to bring a certain comp, but in combat everyone is doing the same thing anyways. Freecure is evidence that once upon a time they understood what the point of a trinity system was, that healing and tanking doesn't have to be a passive role but could be an active role.

We used to have resource management, enmity actually mattered, positioning mattered. There was more to the game than press every button and stand on the right square. The story was a lot more magical and wondrous too, before everything was The Ancients did it but it's gone now so it doesn't matter. As much as I want to be hopeful that Yoshi and team will correct course, we are so many years off track that even if they wanted to I'm not sure if they can.

There's zero chance he wanted to start drama. He just wanted to do the usual thing he does and flex on warrior.

Everybody I know who is bitching saying "tHeY cLeArEd ToP w. nO HeAlS!!" is among the worst players I have played with. I had one dude bitching to me about it heavily, I looked up his logs and the dude maintains sub 50% GCD uptime during fights on average. Nobody in my static is complaining bout the changes as much as the people I know who are gray parsing floor DPS and don't even attempt savages. It's pointless to argue with them though, they saw Xeems clear with no heals, they clearly know about jobs they don't even play.

Worse still, it's hitting the normies.
https://archive.ph/jLbDf - rendered terribly.

This is not to mention the crazy amount of bonus healing all of the healers are getting, which leads me to believe we'll see necessary use cases for them in the next savage tier. Could be hopium though.

The only thing I've seen fairly universally among the good and bad players is people complaining about the BLM changes; people are real upset about loss of paradox freeze and I'm coming around to their points.
