memorizing things and just following a guide, requiring a bunch of homework in order to just follow through with a game of Simon Says.
This to me is not interesting and I don't want to play my game by doing a bunch of homework.
Whenever Arthars and Xeems glaze the game's content it's good to keep in mind this kind of gameplay is the main thing they play for so take their opinions with a grain of salt.

Their entire idea of 'good casual content' is content that they envision will condition more people to want to do savage/ultimate raiding as it currently exists. They're incapable of comprehending that an increasing majority of the game's population doesn't really like savage, will probably never like savage, and need to be given other things to do instead of being gaslit into doing savage.

I know that but if this is the direction that the developers are thinking the game should go, and that they are doing things which mainly make Arthars and Xeems happy with how the game is, this will likely not be a game that I would like to come back to, .

I raised the point earlier, but if you are a casual in FF, you have exactly NOTHING, sweet fuck all to do. You need to give casual play incentives and gratification to play. In this example, I will use Delves from WoW.

So what is a delve, a solo dungeon with an assistant where you carry out a task, then kill the boss, and get loot. There are 15 in total, and they can be bountiful, which gives you a mythic piece. When you complete one, you unlock the tiers of difficulty up to 11. The higher the tier the higher the item level. They are self-contained and quite challenging. You use CC etc, and master your class to get better results, and you cannot face tank either.

Whoever designed them needs a raise because it is one of the best pieces of content WoW has done in years. You need keys for the bountiful delves, and so have to do world content, but you have a lot of options where to go for that.

The problem is FF's battle content is tired. It's in an engine that is dated and due to FF not having a consistent design it suffers. Classes need a huge rework and I don't believe CA3 when they say that the audience will be please. They said we'd be pleased with DT, and it is awful. Forcing casuals to do content makes them burn out and resentful, and a scorned player is a forever last player. This can be attributed to constant class fuckin,g too like Sam and Sum.

Also, time gating your Deep Dungeon is retarded, but we all know they are doing it to keep one month of extra subs. Wow, did this, and players hate it. I don't play Savage because I don't want to go in a Discord of most likely gay people and shout over moving to Simon Says shit. I did it in HW, and it got old really fast.

Arthars is currently glazing the PLL on twitter which means it's probably another dud patch.

The content isn't fun to do casually Arthars, and you acting like a hype man on Twitter because you want to suck Mr. Ozma's cock or something isn't going to fix this.
This guy is making me mati.
Why is this SEA-nigger and his broken ass Japanese with the most pathetic Chinese accent talking so much shit? Yoshida literally said that it felt on certain patches that casual players get no content and that going forward, they want to try and make the content playable for everyone. They start by making DD more gentle but give people the option to crank up the difficulty on the optional boss fight to get the reward in one fell swoop, or leave it easy so that people can grind for the reward. Yoshida always invites people to try out shit, but not even he would be so retarded to go out and say "Hey Sweeties, please git gud to play my game.".

If it isn't grifters like that UK man, then it is trannies like Pint or fucking raid faggots like Arthras. XIV was so much better when we had milquetoast Mr.Happy and MTQ Capture for guides and that was it.

I will use Delves from WoW.
The literal worst content in the game that makes even the awfulness of Mythic Raiding look good.

They are self-contained and quite challenging
No, no they fucking aren't the only time Delves were not absolutely completely face roll was in season 1 when the seasonal "Badguy" would spawn 5 elites instead of the normal elite mob and that is only because they put a Heal interrupt and a 50% Damage Reduction Buff Interrupt in that group.

Make Brann Healer (unless you are a healer then make him a tank) and he will outheal the vast majority of any normal mob you will face in a Delve, Fucking THORGHAST was more interesting than Delves because at least Anima powers made you choose shit occasionally.

You use CC etc, and master your class to get better results, and you cannot face tank either.
I literally face tanked them from week one using Healer Brann the only time I ever used CC is to avoid some retard mob spamming Bladestorm (because every single piece of Content in TWW has to have a Bladestorm mob of some sort). I did Tier 11 in Season 1 with item level 20 levels below the suggested and breezed through it aside from

"Lol 5 Elites in one pack" and "Oh Zekvir spawned behind you while you were fighting Mini Boss and crit you from behind"

And this is not even getting into the absolute inane shit like "wind totems" and "candles"

I think most of us saw this coming from a mile away. Obviously Speeeeeeen will put on the crown and Calyx will pull his "just as planned" and rewrite her brain with holo-speeeeeeen so then Taco Cat has to kill her.

Can I get a QRD on the new deep dungeon? Everyone’s already exclaiming that Dawntrail is saved for realsies this time.

They've approached it in a way that gives casuals and sweaties a chance to tackle all of the content by having more checkpoints (as someone mentioned), but also by allowing matched parties, which was something that you could only do for the first few floors in prior Deep Dungeons. Its ostensibly designed to appeal to people who want to level alt jobs.

The rewards look to be numerous and varied this time around (there's what looks to be 4 new mounts plus 2 minions, plus glams and other items available through the potsherd currency system.

It looks like Deep Dungeons are getting added to the Challenge Log, which will provide more incentive for folks to fuck around with it.

And then the floor 99 boss is modular and can be tackled by just about everyone with different rewards.

As a DD nerd it looks really promising, although I'm not sure it is going to 'save' Dawntrail. Casuals are already whining about having to do Palace (clearing to floor 50, which is not hard at all, is the prereq for other Deep Dungeons) and not happy about this being the 'leveling' option for them.

I'm personally excited for 7.3 cos I'm morbidly curious what they're going to do with Troon Cat, but also because of the Deep Dungeon and the XI raid.

Yeah I disagree with his idea people with nothing to do or dissatisfied with current offerings just need to "do more battle content". Especially when long term investment in this stuff is grinding the same fights over and over again.

I was so checked out I didnt care to see that they made Deep Dungeon more casual friendly. Guaranteed that has nothing to do with "getting casuals to git gud" and everything to do with Eureka Orthos being a flop.

I wonder if some of these raidfags will unironically defend 2m meta job homogeny because "easier" samey jobs theoretically makes raiding more accessible. I know Xeems has said stuff about Dark Knight on the homogeny side of job homogeny vs job identity. Never mind that it doesn't matter if you make jobs have a one button rotation there will be braindead retards or people checked out so hard that they are unable to play the jobs correctly.

if the jobs could do more than
"deal damage, generate/spend resource"
"heal damage, generate/spend resource"
"increase outgoing damage"
"reduce incoming damage, generate resource"

they would probably have an easier time designing content that didn't hemorrhage 90% of its initial population

i hope you're all ready for the player-character to once again get magic macguffin'd and for wuk lmao to save you again as some jrock plays in the background, as calyx goes "how can this be...? what is this power...? is this the power of friendship...?"

The problem in telling casual players to do battle content, is that the battle content is shit.
The game is notorious for having nothing, absolutely zilch combat content, to do for the midcores, the small groups of friends, the duos, the actual casuals: The friendslop gamers.

How dare you insinuate that I have friends?
You take that back right now.
You hurt my feelings.

I think it was more just dragging these retards who moan about 'there's nothing to dooooooooooooo' to actually do some of the shit in the game.

Orthos flopped, in my opinion, because it tried to cater to casuals at the expense of the people who enjoy Deep Dungeons and managed to satisfy neither.

Both Palace and HoH were rather easy in their early floors (I'd argue almost laughably so), but EO was throwing hands on the first floorset, which was off-putting to the 'casuals' while also being significant HP sponges, which was off-putting to people who enjoy that content as it made any sort of progging for solo clears fucking tedium.

The bosses were okay and I'd say about on par with HoH's, and the lvl 99 boss thing was nice. But it was generally a tedious mess that turned into a cakewalk for experienced DD players and an annoyance for casuals.
Wuk also speaks in past tense in that scene so it’s highly implied Sphene is dead or it’s a fake out death.

From the Trailer it looks like people are getting possessed or something. Sphene is the most obvious candidate but I'm wondering if we're going to have a Very Special JRPG Moment where Sphene takes the regulator and smashes it/abdicates and tells the people of Alexandria that they cannot look to her as a source of inspiration/hope/whatever and must look to themselves.

Gulool Ja would also be a prime candidate and would spark such a visceral reaction from Trooncat. They haven't really done much in the way of exploring what his fucking deal is and I assume he's meant to be some sort of engineered weapon.

He dies, Sphene abdicates, Alexandria joins the multicultural tapestry that is Tural and I puke blood as Smile! plays.

Another detail from the trailer is that it looks like some of the Backroom dudes are falling under sway. I still think Shale is going to end up being a sleeper agent for Calyx. Another meta reason is I found out that her VA is the same as Feo Ul's. I get that VAs voice random characters all the time but it still strikes me as a bit suspicious that they'd be having a general nobody NPC be fully voiced and prominent in the story.
