We have discussed in great detail and pointed to countless examples of how pozzed every single corner of the community is throughout the duration of this thread, so the long and short of the answer to your question is Yes.

Similarly, the solution is to strictly play by yourself or with groups of friends you can trust (no, this doesn't mean fellow Kiwis for a multitude of reasons we've also gone over) and never take the game too seriously or socialize at all with most of the game's playerbase. You know, despite the fact that part of the appeal of MMOs is socializing. XIV is like the antithesis of this.

More than you can imagine. It doesn't matter what niche or subcommunity you join it's all pozzed. I'm in ten different discord servers because everyone need to have ultimate authority over information instead of contributing to a wiki. Everyone single one of them goes batshit crazy during pride month. They all have a firm stance on no politics unless you want to shit talk anything right wing. Every mod is either gay, a troon, a furry, or all of the above. Normally I like RP. I love playing DnD and tabletop RPGs so being able to extend that into a persistent online world sounds like it'd be great. I would even settle for My OC donut steal type characters but instead what you get is nothing but troons, lolis/shotas, femboys, and futas. It is actually un-fucking-believable how many people unironically want to RP as a dick girl. It's not just a one off thing it's like half the people who RP.

Since everyone is a tranny everything is a constant power struggle. They are all butting heads and sucking dick for any scrap of power they can have over people because their own life is completely out of control. That's why everything has to be in its own discord because they want to fool themselves into believing they dont host a google doc they run a whole community. That and they have ultimate authority over who has access to their information. Normally you'd say just host it or save it yourself, but some things simply require a community effort by its nature. You're not going to start up your own Eureka group finder when there is already one, even if it is pozzed. So you better keep your mouth shut because if the jannies dont like you you're not getting your clear.

There was a time when jannies were getting pissed off by people using the sonar plugin because it circumvented the need for their shitty hunt discord server. Now anyone on pc could get notified about hunt spawns and they were furious about losing a small amount of control. They decide who runs hunt trains, they decide when s-ranks spawn and who's allowed to share it, and sonar was getting in the way. Aether hunts is the absolute worst the community has to offer.

They turn the game into these awful social cliques and I can't stand it. I can't stand every social interaction being a competition. I keep everyone at arms length. I don't join FCs, I don't join linkshells, I give an obligatory gg after a instance and that's it.

The japanese dub is miles better anyway so I recommend just switching to that. Unless you're one of those "how dare you ask me to read" type of people, then I can't help you lol.

What's even more gross is their big rant on how they get so few calls, and when they do get a gig it's because someone wanted a tranny voice. So only trans can voice trans, and they get mad when people are only calling them to do trans voices. And unsurprising there isn't a booming demand for trans voices. So maybe it's not the industries fault for not giving freebies, but their fault for being bad at their job. You have one job, and if you can't do it then voice acting's not for you. Maybe try voice acting as a man and you'd be surprised how much better you do.
 
i got lucky with my FC since it seems to have actual woman and more than a couple people including the officers were all interested or played Hogwarts Legacy, that alone made me stay ngl even though i fucking hate Harry Potter, but the lack of adherance to the local grievance circlejerk was neat

Trannies without jobs used to feel important because they could devote their day to scouting areas for A rank spawns and act as 'spotters' for a hunt train. Now spotters aren't necessary - if you want to organize a train, you can just use sonar to figure out what's up every 6 hours and just run it. It's like when John Henry lost his job to the steam drill but instead it's a fat tranny who doesn't get paid losing xir job to a plugin.

tbh hunts are retarded because the underlying system is outdated. SE could just turn them into overworld critical engagements that everyone in the region is notified about when it's time to run them and it'd be significantly more fun than waiting for the tranny cabals to declare it's time for the designated 2am hunt train and asspat session for jobless losers. You could even give them more interesting mechanics and scale them properly so it's not 100+ people deleting a world boss in 10 seconds.

So I'm picking up the family FC and we're migrating off of Primal for Dawntrail. Neither of us really gives a shit about EX+ content, just want to occasionally log in, run some dungeons or co-op story, and not deal with degen shit in /yell.
Got three options. Help decide, shill me on one of these three options.

1. Dynamis. Stays in the US, but lowpop and from what I understand pretty chill. (But then how degen is limsa?)
2. Chaos. Go play with the Eastern European megaguilds because we know the language. (But then how bad are the French, really?)
3. One of the Japanese DCs, We know the language enough to get by (but how's clearing story content on US hours?)

Turning hunts into critical engagements makes so much sense I'm amazed it hasn't happened already. I think they want it to be a community effort but in reality there is no community. People only ever get in the way of fun. Removing people from the equation makes it more fun.

Either stay on Primal since it's one of the least cancer-filled DCs or move to Dynamis I guess.

1. Dynamis is dead but arguably more degenerate than any NA DC because it's almost like a designated safe space tranny hugbox. Nearly every tranny I raided with in the past bases in dynamis and then DC travels to Aether for PF when they're not UwUing at their in-game fuckbuddy.
2. The French are their own curse but you can avoid them just by setting your DF language prefs to English only. The biggest issue with EU is ping and whether or not you can get down with macro culture. Last time I checked in, there were not as many degens as NA because all the EU degens just go to Balmung anyway and put up with higher ping.
3. JP is fine and quiet but you have to be really sure you're comfortable enough with the language to do content otherwise you'll get hard ostracized. You can always do Tonberry and stick to the EN speaking circle but it's a bit of a crapshoot. Also ping.

EU is probably your safest bet but it's also been a long time since I logged into my character on Spriggan so I'm the least familiar with how the community is there nowadays (last time I played EU heavily was with my German friend back in like late 2020). It could very well be more trannifed now with how much the game has exploded in popularity in EU specifically.

I have very few problems when I do things on JP but I also never end up hanging out with anyone so I don't play my JP character as much.

Yes, the ass-pats are why scouters do the work they do. To be fair, scouting used to be an important thing back in the day and I was always glad people put in the work to make hunts a win-win for everyone but these days it feels like it's done entirely for validation rather than legitimate magnanimity.

I recall at some point during late Shadowbringers when I hopped in on a hunt train and I saw someone do the gay ass shout of "THANK SO-AND-SO PLAYER FOR THE SCOUT OR ELSE YOU WILL BE BLACKLISTED FROM FUTURE TRAINS".

They must've gotten desperate.

I think Rin had his "career" put down a lot because of the incident with the two healers having drama. He's a weird loser but that's where it ends really when there's much worse people like Xenosys who treats women like cocksleeves then tosses them aside, usually telling them to kill themselves or he's the only reason they ever had friends. There was a YouTube channel that had receipts on various "content creators" and people who did world races but sadly was terminated by all of them reporting it every single day for months. Community is fucked in general.

Also not sure if the femhroth name was the reason since I think it was shown at fanfest but was posted before patch maybe. they're not a convincing VA and first time I'm considering swapping to JP.
