Dramacow FineBros - Copyrighting React Videos Controversy, the Ongoing Shitstorm, Sadly Increasing Subs

I don't think this is going to kill their channel off completely, but at the very least their fuck up is going to damage them severely, and they will not recover. At this point an apology video is the only thing they can do to now as a last ditch attempt to regain their image.

But it won't work, the damage is already done and I bet you a million gazillion internet points that if they do make one it'll be sugar coated with things like

"We're sorry for presenting React World in the wrong way"

"We understand this is not something you want, so we're going to go back to the drawing board and make it better."

"We still want to protect our brand just like other content creators do."

So pretty much "We're sorry, but we're not cause it's not reall our fault and we still want to come up with a way to sue you for what we think is ours." Apology followed by excuse followed by a threat.

Basically a Chris Chan style apology video.
Nah, they already did it. Doubt they'll do it twice, lest the fanbase starts catching on.

Don't know if anybody put this up, here's a Twitter post from the Fine Bros. from last year complaining about Buzzfeed copying their style.

Irony.

This kind of whiny, self entitled "Nyuuu we did it first ur copying us!!1!one!!" attitude is the main reason Im so thoroughly enjoying watching these fuckers crash and burn.

Just waiting for them to start flagging the "[Youtuber] Reacts To [Kids/Elders/Teens] React to [Youtuber]" videos floating around. I know there are a few.

I've been reading this thread, and I may have overlooked someone else linking to this, but here's a 3-day-old comment on reddit where they attempt to defend themselves.

If someone's already posted that, I apologize.
Still, you get three guesses as to how it turned out for them and the first two don't count.

I doubt that they realize this yet, but the Fine Brothers just ushered in the new era of patent trolls. "You have the word 'react' in the title. Give us 10% of total revenue generated or we'll see you in court. Also, we're having Youtube suspend your account until you decide".

This will likely make Youtube change policies on monetization (which will hurt smaller channels) or permaban The Fine Brothers. Since Fine Bros generate ad revenue for the tubes, it'll likely be the former.

Thanks Obama.

I like this counter more. It still updates every second as opposed to every five seconds. They are now at around 13,913,296 subscribers and that number is still dropping right now.

Socialblade says they've already lost 38,654 subscribers today alone.

Their bots are still working hard as ever to alleviate this situation. Holy shit.
:story:

When I was watching the counter, there was barely anyone new subscribing to them. It was nothing but a number that kept shrinking down. The funniest thing though is that even with their obvious bots that they most likely bought subbing to the channel, it's still not enough to hide what's been going on. They are fucked.

Yeah I was watching last night and I kept spotting that 1 sub coming in around every minute and then getting lost in the 20 people leaving 10 seconds later, unless they have Skynet handling their subscriptions there aren't enough bots in the world to save them from this fuck up.

More so if people get wise to their bot subbing scheme. Though I'd laugh if even the bots decided "Fuck this shit, we're out!"

I think that's the worst thing about these guys. They really think with these react videos they've done this amazing service to the internet so much that when somebody does something similar it's a 'sad day for the Internet.' It all makes it so blatantly obvious they're nasty guys with huge egos and I'm starting to be surprised they didn't get found out sooner
