Definitely none of the main cast. Shadi was a pretty big fan of Fishtank while Claire and Haley knew less but were pretty familiar with various bits of lore. Juliana and Kato asked to be on or responded to calls from production looking for people. Abi obviously appeared in S2. They certainly didn't use an agency to pick up the hobos they brought on.I am curious, do we have any indication any of these women were found from the casting agency? I could see it as a test for if professionally casted contestants could handle the culture of the show.
That leaves people like Zoey, the black girl, and Richard (the 'model'). Theoretically, they could have been brought on by a third party but considering their small roles I highly doubt it. Some member of production probably posted on Twitter on Instagram with a pseudonym and a brief description of Stream Stars and the modeling gig.
I think they may have given up on the casting agency idea. Clearly they have been relying on fans to fill out the cast. They could take a different route for S3 and try to get uninitiated people via an agency. I think it could turn out great but it's also a huge risk. Those people would be far more likely to bail on the show or just generally be boring/a poor fit. Especially given that production clearly cannot control themselves from torturing Fish (in ways that are sometimes funny and sometimes not), people who don't know what they're getting into are a danger for a full season.
So who knows if they're still working with that idea. They 100% did not use it for Bitchtank or Bloodgames. NPCs/freeloaders/contestants were all sourced from the fandom or people in the broader internet sphere (like Pearl). The exceptions are the homeless and randos brought on for short bits and those people can be found via Craigslist and Instagram.
Edit: Ninja'd. One idea I came up with for S3 is to start off with two teams, one made up of fans and the other normies. Could be interesting. Assuming that it is possible for an agency to get people who will walk in the door knowing next to nothing.
