With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

"Friendtank" and silliness (like Xavier) is what will bring us the best season, just like in 2,5.
Sam and Jet will always somehow bring some retards that are going to fight among themselves or with literally within themselves, so there's no need for all the slow boring or puke inducing sadistic torture shit, just make cool challenges and break the house while doing stuff like most of the what they did in 2.5..... just being silly and over the top.
I think the problem with season 2 was that when they realized most of the cast were fans who wanted ~ le meet and greet with daddy Sam, production wanted to fuck with and torture them, but at the point when this was happening half of the cast already had left and the challenges were just boring torture stuff.
Like idk, I will never ever get over the hot dog puking thing, >imo< that was the lowest point in Sam's career.

If you didn't enjoy fatty on the dirty bike you must feel no joy in life. Him almost looking like he was going to ride into then multiple times, doing a little super man, then wiping out of camera but still riding back. He can get on your nerves but there are moments that redeem him.

what was crazy was that day jimmy put fatty's shorts on his head and sam called from across the yard asking him to barf
like telling him, gag yourself and barf, and then jet sprinted out and said don't do that

there's obviously no "no bodily fluids" rule with iFunny it was just something they were trying to focus on this season and then Sam fucking failed it out of nowhere for no benefit just to torture one fish. that was the lowest point in his career to me, to have fucked that up so badly in s2 and hit a low, and then fucked it up again for no reason for something that isn't even funny, and have to be scolded by Jet

it's like sam said "I solemnly swear to never ask people to puke for me ever again... except once or twice as a treat"

People who complain about Friendtank this season are dumb. This wasn't a competition like regular fishtank, so why not be friends? Why not work as a party to LARP?
 
Xavier's trolling makes Sam Hyde look like a 2view IP2 streamer. We will never reach this level of trolling. I'm jealous.

There we have the crux of it, the HD Cam were rare and often only for events like the Gator squats or slop being thrown on Fatty. We're being given the impression that for Season 3 that these guys are going to be ever present in the main areas of the house recording shit like basic conversations as if it were a season of Big Brother.

I've come around on Friendtank, it's the setup for the real entertainment of the show from the fish interacting with each other. There need to be outside forces that encourage that interaction, but I think physically abusing retards can be left to IcePoseidon. Hellhouse is other people.

what's crazy is how they come across when they do it. when sam says rude shit to people's faces he comes across as a resentful faggot, like whatever it is is the one thing he would forcibly change about that person and if they don't change it he'll hate them forever and that he regrets casting them because of that one flaw that they have

when xavier makes fun of people it's a joke between himself and the audience and sometimes the fish don't even catch it and are just standing there smiling like ":) sour faced faggot? who's a sour faced faggot?" it's way better and results in less of those retarded mean-mugging moments where sam is maintaining eye contact with some guy as though the insult is going to change them on a dime

thats a really good idea. personally i really liked the emote fishtoy that would make them do their special dance. it would have made for some great moments if only the token price was lower

A phone call fishtoy would have been interesting. But using a cheap burner flip phone instead of a smart phone.

1. Zoomers used to smart phones trying to deal with a flip phone
2. Random ass number that whoever they're calling probably won't answer. Leading them to wasting simp bux or calling multiple times.
3. Can only call whoever's number they remember.
4. Actually talking on a phone.
5. Happening at random times. Jet comes up at like 4am and hands them the phone.

Plus being a cheap prepaid phone if the number gets leaked they can just get another.
EDIT: Just looked up on walmart out of boredom. $10 for pre-owned Tracfone flip phone. $15 for Unlimited talk/text with no data. Bam, $25 and could have made boatloads plus comedy content of zoomers with old phone.

I forgot to point out the viewership numbers on the cameras for the finale, the daytime stuff was high 5000s and the last hour maybe around 7500-7800. Not ideal at all. The whole season had lower numbers equivalent to the bottom of the trench for Season 2. One would think that once word spread that the season was actually good it would have increased viewership but it seems like Fishtank's community has been boiled down to only the most hardcore viewers. There was charts posted in the chat showing posting going on in /tv/ or the hashtags on twitter and each season is doing worse than the prior.

Is Fishtank profitable? Yes, is it growing? No, it seems to be the total opposite.

I'll be completely honest with ya... I didn't watch any of this season outside of clips that were posted on here.
I find RP cringey and hard to watch anyway and once Fatty showed up that killed any desire to try to tune in live. Plus the cigarettes everywhere are nasty.
Am I petty like that? Yes. I am a flawed being.
 
I'm still lingering on what I figured out there and what all we learned about Jimmy so I basically came up with a rough, un-yapped clear timeline for his life as far as we can understand it

-grew up in PA, molested or raped by a male at the age of 9 but the case was dropped
-always had servere ADHD from a young age, that's not something he developed in Utah. was uncontrollable in school
-dad is lawyer, both parents wealthy
-his mom cheated on his dad and the change in circumstances caused her to send him to crossroads and aspiro. logical reasons why: the new man was shocked at how he acts, or she became estranged to him due to her relationship with his father, or his father was especially good at controlling him but neither she nor her new partner could. he tends to say she flipped suddenly but it was probably just the change in perspective
-aspiro and crossroads were not the difficult part for him, he clearly has lots of resentment for being sent there but none of the things he complains about are about are his experiences at those places specifically other than that the program was bunk and he didn't receive certified psych help that he needed there. one of the rules was sometimes they were not allowed to talk or smile or react to things which he found difficult (obviously)
- he was going to age out but was forced to stay due to his instability and lack of alternative resources to get back home
-in the halfway house situation he was in at the end he didn't have the support or job to get money to feed himself because he probably would've just had a freshman level education at that point. his medication was changed at one point and he went berserk
- tried to get home to sue his parents but was denied. eventually received money from other contacts to get back home
- sister was also sent to elevations in utah and had to be revived after a suicide attempt caused by bullying
-in time father admitted sending both of them there was a mistake
- attended retard college to major in business (basically just to get him a GED equivalent) in the north, stayed there
- met Hoarderman
-at some point had a kitchen job
- a short time before S2 he dated a girl who was on heroin and fucked his shit up and her associates also fucked his shit up
-s2

other things like "being beaten up by 50 guys at a party for no reason" sound too weird to be true or else are omitting something important about his involvement in the situation. there was also something in the heroin gf story about someone accusing him of assault which was more likely true than not even though he said it was not
 
I have some questions about the S3 house: is the leaked S3 house the one with the wood chips room ?. Or is there multiple properties on the land ?. Did the NPCs stay in the S3 house or a different house on the same land
 
In terms of the ending it did feel a bit rushed, but I don’t think it was bad. Earlier a poll was made for a secret ending and I was caught off guard by the twist due to how retarded it was so props to them. Also, I recall Xavier asking Jet for an epilogue but since the chick fil a was being eaten and the entire cast was already out it just didn’t happen. Once again he tried to take a part of the show to the next level when he didn’t have to.

The property has a few buildings. Seems like they've got a Woodshop ( 2.5 production office ) a Guest House, and a Main House.
