There were posts about this while it was happening, but I think Direnc had a break through last night. She had decided that the show was rigged for Freddie after his return and was moping about how pointless the show is in her room. Meanwhile, Aryeh has come up with a plan to kamikaze Freddy out the door, all he needs is 10 magic bucks to save himself. He informed Jet of this plan and Jet signed off on it, though suggested that he accumulate 20 so he can get help from someone else.
Aryeh goes to confessional to explain his plan:
"I can do this. I have a plan, and it will work. As long as they don't change the rules again. I can get my magic bucks, and I can achieve my goal: Get coddletank back."
He goes to loop Direnc into the plan, and she tells him that the plan is pointless because they'll just rig it to save Freddie. Aryeh is explaining that he can't accept that, because then everything will be pointless and he won't have a goal, so he'll lose: but if he pretends the game makes sense and he has a goal to strive for, the audience will probably like it regardless of whether or not it actually works, and audience approval is how you actually win the game. Direnc says she admires his spirit and agrees to help him with the magic bucks, but that she still thinks Freddie is written in to win.
TTS starts with "From where you're kneeling it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. Truth is... the game was rigged from the start. Sorry Jew."
Aryeh then drops into a lower level of meta. He implies he agrees that the game is rigged, and explains that he thinks that production might be amenable to actually kicking Freddie if he "gives them a damn good show."
He exits, and TTS starts trying to gas light about the magic bucks, saying that the site is magic themed now.
"It's not complicated, just win the magic challenges to win the magic bucks, keep your head up hazelnut"
At this point, Direnc starts giggling like an insane person, and I believe she achieved a state of enlightenment.
The TTS becomes synchronous with the Burt skitzo TTS, listing "Peter Magic, Magic Bucks, Magic Beans, Dude Wipes, Magic Bells," explaining that the colored stripes are the key, there are magic tokens to buy magic stox, they list the DND schools of magic and imply they correspond to the colored stripes, etc. They get her to look under her bed for magic markers. They tell her she's one step away from advancing to the next house in famous neighborhood, all she needs is the magic beans.
She continues giggling like a maniac, when Freddie comes in. She's in such a strange mental state that Freddie gets visibly confused and is asking her what happened to her. They snuggle in her bed for a bit in the blind spot before Freddie gets so irritated at her mania despite her insistence that the game is rigged that he gets upset and leaves the room without even destroying the painting he came there to destroy.
