The show was themed around third wave ska initially but zoomers really have a hard time differentiating ska from punk, and hardcore from metalcore etc. They think grunge was the same thing as nu metal for example, and Avril Lavigne was emo. Needless to say, they didn't understand the historical significance of the skanking dance and ended up just kicking each other in the head like at a metalcore show. These are the type of details lost to AI.
