I hope this was the right wake up call, especially for Bongo, though I'm not sure yet if she even realized the gravity of the situation as she got drunk again or was drunk already. I do like the twins, but they need to seriously wake up to have a chance of winning (or they really win with nontent, hopefully not).
Bingo seems to understand the situation much better, but they can only pull through this together, they seem to affect each other a lot.

Looking at some of the mood-swings of Bongo and her mentioning of killing herself to Bashir if she loses(?), that doesn't sit well with me at all.

I want the twins to win more than anything because it will change their lives so much. But last night showed that they did think they could coast through and not need to strategize or compete properly. I hope it woke them up and made them realize they are competitors and haven't won yet. I am worried that because Bongo was so drunk last night and didn't even remember Blane leaving etc, things might not have set in for her at all.

I think this is a slow approach to the heat incoming. Messing with people in a way that could affect them outside of the tank is part of the late-season psyops. Uncomfortable to watch but debatably a good way to kick off the final act. Drake's mental has fortified so hard in the last couple days that they have to resort to stuff like this to try to break him.

Anyway, I'm very interested to see how they plan to end this though. Looking at the rest of the seasons, they all definitely did their own thing. No clue what they want for this one.
S1 - Gaslight fakeout after a Cell challenge, scripted but sincere in emotional weight. Hilarously ripped from Willy Wonka
S2 - Dark and heavily themed, boxing challenge, probably not scripted, somewhat cinematic
S3 - Scuffed so it's hard to say the original intent. Golden Burt, road trip, heavily scripted Burt in the desert. Highly cinematic

My guess is an extension of the Landon's elimination. Some other kind of semi-scripted close call situation after a series of very difficult challenges. Less reliant on composed visuals and leaning on organic reactions. Probably less dark and more uplifting. More Jet's style. I'll miss Sam's visual eye and direction (excluding TJ) and but I think it will still be good.

The constant drinking is probably also what's making them so locked out and lethargic. The effects of successive hangovers are probably building and building. In my opinion, if they want to have a chance at winning, they need to skip the booze until the finale.

In general, I think a lot of the fish might be underestimating just how much the constant drinking is fucking with their overall mood and focus. It leads to funny situations for us viewers for sure, but it also makes a lot of them super inactive and directionless throughout the day after the nights of drinking. It is a bit of a double-edged sword: it generates content, but also nontent.

i wanted to respond to this last night but i was too tired. one of my issues i’ve always had with certain sekturs of Fishtank where they want Dark Web levels of torture with a dash of shit and piss.

One of the things in making a show or a movie is that you have to write characters in a way that makes the audience give a shit about the people on screen. It’s extremely easy to make contrived and one dimensional characters with zero motivation or means to an end. I say all of this to say that everybody loves a good underdog story. We’ve watched these fish for almost a month now. We’ve gotten to learn about each person, regardless if it’s good or bad. You can’t write people like Blaine, Bingo & Bongo, Landon, or even Bashir.

I know there’s debate about whether last nights elimination was fake and gay or real but I think answering that question is pointless because it worked. People were upset, people teared up and people cried. It was rough seeing Bongo lose her shit (until it got old after 10 minutes) but it was a choice that nobody was a fan of.

I like Landon but holy shit he ended up being such of a wet noodle of a contestant towards the end. Fuck Dumbfag for constantly drawing attention to himself when it was supposed to be Landon’s moment. I will be honest, lol. I was okay with Landon leaving until he cried at when Bashir told him that everybody knows cheese fries now. It’s little moments like these that regardless of how much I hate Wigger Co., you can’t fake moments like that.

Vimp is boring but she's an absolute G for her dedication to Bashir and thus should stay. She's also autistic enough that she house circles and does other things that make her entertaining unintentionally.

Laura is immensely interesting. She's fun to love or hate. She is INSANE and perfect freeloader for the show.

If they had kept all 4(5) fish, I think it would have been interesting to do something like offering to split the 50k equally between them on the 3rd to last day. But even if only one person doesn't agree to it, the competition stays as it is. Give them the day to think about it, negotiate, have the freeloaders play devils advocate to them. Then have them submit their votes "anonymously", to then be revealed 1 by 1 while they are together.

If no one voted against splitting it, you rig it before you show it to them so they all think one person did but don't know who. If someone naturally votes against it, then you don't have to worry about it and just reveal the results but still keep it anonymous.

Bongo was just in the kitchen and was beating herself up about being drunk while Blaine was leaving since she hardly remembers, she also said she was being a drunk piece of shit and vowed that she will no longer be drinking.
I hope she keeps this pledge.

Edit: She also clarifies she hates suicide and may have been there mentally but she never attempted as life is "full of ups and downs."

Now that is the next day, and I'm missing my little buddy, I'm getting mad at Bashir fags thinking he's content because people will yell around him.

So Bashir was given 500 more candies than Landon and only beat him by 150? I don't wanna hear about Landon doing nothing anymore, clearly he does. Jet said that final hidden bag he find was only about 80, so don't try to assign all of that performance to just that. Yeah Bashir got physically restrained for the egg and Susie hunts, but Bashir got a large reward for the Diss challenge he didn't win. And Landon was doing all that carrying the weight of the worst Fish to never quit the show. My little buddy mogged this competition and I MISS him.

It was always going to be my little buddy though. Production rigged it. We know from the website code leaking Fishtoy data that the gifted candy was much more than what was actually paid for by the site. We don't have figures for James but we do for the other 3, 1300 to the Twins, 1000 to Bashir and only 500 to Landon. We can take that as rankings for production, and I'm ok with Drake vs Twins finale, but Bashir needs to fucking go. He kills content as much as he makes it. I've appreciated him as an element in the House but I've rarely liked him, and those that ride and die that ginga bewilder me.

Now before your say that means the Twins are the worst competitors, since they only had two candy more than they were gifted;

• Blane was in and out of the basement a good amount before the candy count went down
• Blane offers to collect the candy for the twins and bring it down on their behalf

Production absolutely set up the fake out elimination, and the possibly almost fucked up the entire show for it. I'm sure they seriously under estimated how well Landon did outside of gifted, they were obviously creating a several hundred candy buffer to keep rankings safe, and they barely handicapped our little buddy enough, despite an 800 candy gap.

He's insanely interesting and person who sticks to his word unless they break it first. That's pretty rare these days. He's one of those people that's so authentic that you think he's lying. He's also really really cute honestly. He's found ways to be very interesting other than peepee poopoo tank and is probably the main reason I'm enjoying the series. I love friendtank and seeing somebody promote genuine friendship is very heartwarming to me. It makes me want to be a better friend.

He does all of this with probably the most adversity of any contestant on the show simply because of his religion. Most people could not handle 30 days of people just calling you names all day. His faith is his biggest ally. He's not a paragon of virtue, he's just a human who wants to be a better human.

That really speaks to me.
