This was balanced out by the fact that Bashir was pushed into shooting Anissa by production, it's also not original sin that taints him as The Coddled until the end of time it is one instance of Bashir being handed something in a sea of him being piled on.
Also reddit spacing from a Drake fan, big surprise lol
No, but when he then follows that up with "production has never done anything for me" I personally think that marks him as not only coddled but entitled. All of the things he's experiencing from the other fish and freeloaders are things he's earned.
Emma - anti bashir
Vicky - anti bashir
Landon - flip flop but ultimately anti bashir
Dungay - anti-bashir
Laura - anti bashir
JD - anti bashir
Vimp - betrayal, manipulation that it wasn't betrayal, now anti bashir
I also feel the need to point out that all of the fish were not instantly against Bashir. His actions and demeanor caused people to turn against him.
Emma - Ambivalent until Bashir shredded her plant in a random jihad. People say that she "cheated" to eliminate Bashir but I feel like being clever in challenges is just as valid a strategy when it comes to Fishtank.
Vicky - Anti-house. She hated Bashir because he wouldn't stop lecturing her about her behaviors and/or kratom.
Landon - Tried to ally with Bashir, was met with half-assed plans and failed sieges, no defense from mutual enemies, and ultimately stood against Bashir as an act of defiance. Was used like a lapdog to no avail.
Dumbgay - Was brought in to side with Drake because Bashir had the entire house sans Laura against Drake. Has not heard the end of how haram he is and is likely tired of Bashir's shit.
Laura - Lectured by Bashir about being a crazy bitch. To be fair, is a crazy bitch.
JD - Gay
Vimp - Stood by Bashir consistently until Bashir started being weird and gay. "Betrayed" him when he continuously failed to follow through with any plans and was content to turtle in his fortress.
He's earned the targets that he has on himself. He's undeniably a good competitor but he's also incessantly whiny about how he hasn't had any support from anyone else. He has had allies and opportunities that others could only dream of, like being brought back after elimination, but he feels entitled to more.
Also, a major point of contention I'd like to talk about is the amount of force the door took to finally give way and break into the room. As can be seen by the footage, the door frame buckles in the upper right corner. There was a crack from the bottom left of the frame to the top right. If you put a torquing force on it, like I've marked then it's going to give almost instantly. The follow-through from Drake didn't help matters, but people are acting like he barreled through the door and that's patently false.
Should Drake have pushed the door open to continue the argument? Probably not, it was kind of retarded. Should Bashir have closed the door on an active argument? In real life probably but in Fishtank, no, that would only result in problems either instantly or later. In this case, the door only falls on Bashir because he fails to react to it pushing past him and then slowly falling. He then goes out of his way to grip the door, stare at Drake, and shove it back at him. He 100% aimed at Drake with the door and there's no dispute there.
People revising the reality of the situation to give Bashir more credit than he's due is insane. This feels like we're arguing about something we don't have 3 angles of footage for and several hours of lead-up which caused the door to be in the fucked state it was in the first place. Drake and Bashir are basically polar opposites to one-another and that's why this shit has been so consistent. Yes, Bashir was one of the arbiters of who can enter the goo room, but it's not like he was having a level conversation with Drake.
