Five Nights At Freddy's

From the moment I first heard of that feature, I thought "that sounds like hell trying to get the true ending after 6 AM." The design choice was so bad that it managed to break Markiplier. No joke, I think he's legit given up after Part 7.

Speaking of that, does anyone else feel like Mark is much less enthusiastic about Security Breach than previous FNAF games? His latest videos on the game have felt more like a slow decline into insanity than anything. I wonder if he's just tired of the franchise as a whole. At the end of Part 7, I saw only a broken man on my screen.
I remember when Mark first played the og game and being genuinely terrified which is his highest watched video I believe , you can see he's going through the motions with SB. And now all the YouTubers have rushed to upload the ending there's really no point to keep watching SB content as it's just a buggy mess anyway.

I have managed to dig out a photo of Gregory when he was a bit younger.

The thing is that Mark has always done his own thing when it comes to FNAF, even if there were always easier ways to do certain things (getting the minigame in Sister Location through the extras menu rather than constantly dying being one big example). In his UCN streams you can tell he was more frustrated than entertained, and half of that frustration came from the people in the chat, and I guarantee you majority of the people in that chat also saw UCN videos from Dawko, Razbowski, 8-Bit Ryan, CoreyxKenshin, etc... so they were giving him advice from those videos that went further and beyond where Mark was at.

Help Wanted had more updates (like the withered animatronics in FNAF2 coming back for a "Nightmare" mode), but he never went back to it, either thinking there were no more updates after the halloween update, or he was just burnt out on FNAF in general, which for Mark is rare considering the first 5 games he's always made an attempt to do the super ridiculous hard modes. With Security Breach, you could tell on his face, as soon as the comic panel ending came on, that what he saw was complete trash, even asking "did they run out of budget?" You have to ROYALLY fuck up for Mark to be dissapointed in a FNAF game and when fan games are doing a better job than your "professional" project, you need to re-think your priorities and re-evaluate your choices as a developer.

This is one of the things I really don't get. Just what in the hell was going on behind closed doors that a supposes professional development team, some of those members being industry veterans; have an extra year of development time, and still have the game so fundamentally broken and poorly designed?

Can't wait to see the Whaa Happun episode on this.

They can't blame the Scott "controversy" because by then the game had already been delayed multiple times. The blame, in my honest opinion, squarely lies at Steel Wool's feet.

The whole experience can be described as janky, from the way you have to interact with object, to the way that animatronics grab you from 5 feet of distance to the way the story starts and ends in anticlimatic ways. Too bad because the environments and details are top notch.

I can tell Mark is insanely disappointed in his part 8 video. He just wants to get to the end so it's done, baffled by the design choices at multiple points.
I dont blame him really. The games got some really poor design choices when it comes to navigating the complex. The map is basically non functional and everyone ive watched play it somehow manages to get lost. And the game is just essentially Amnesia the dark descent but for kids so it probably gets really boring to play after awhile. Best fnaf game tho.

Yeah the Mega Pizza Plex is a really great location, I love how over the top it is with the neon and 80's glam aesthetic. I just wish it was better used to tell the story and allowed to impress the player. You spend so much time creeping around in darkness and dodging Staff bots that you rarely get a chance to soak it in.

This video helps make sense about the game´s lore.
It´s also just 1 video instead of MatPat´s 20 vids.
The jokes in the video are pretty hit or miss, and the narrators' wimpy voice that sounds on the verge of tears all the time doesn't help.

The point is that there are way better story explaining videos for Fnaf out there you could rather watch instead, if you're really interested in getting into the "lore".

Please pass some videos if you know some.
